Soft eggs - going into 2nd cycle with menopur
Hi all, just had a follow-up consultation as our first round of IVF sadly didn't work. He has recommended changing from Gonal-F to menopur as they collected 9 eggs in first cycle, but out of the 6 healthy ones only 2 fertilised and then didn’t survive. He explained that my eggs are quite soft and not

FET preperation
Hello, This group has been very helpful in the past so I thought I’d ask on here. We have our last frozen embryo left, this is potentially my partners last chance at getting pregnant. Please can you give any help with what you did to prepare for FET? Any nutrition advice or supplements? She is taking

Looking back at how my first round of IVF went
The decision to go ahead with IVF was by far the hardest decision I've ever made. Endless reading about what can and can't happen, possible side effects, outcomes etc, am I rushing this decision, am I not, who do I or don't tell what we are going through.. this went on for months! Once I made the decision

Hi. Just over a week ago I was admitted to hospital with an episode of AF that was treated with iv beta blockers to return my heart to a sinus rhythm. I had never experienced anything like this before or so I thought . It woke me up. I am a 56 year old female, relatively fit. I walk 2-3 miles each

DHEA Results. Should I still take it?
Hi all So I have been diagnosed with low amh 5.7 for my age (36). My clinic suggested that I take dhea but didn't seem to think I needed to get tested and said I could just start taking it. I wasn't confident doing that so got tested through medichecks. My results have just come back and it has come

Hearing loss
Has any of you out there been given hearing aids for your ataxia related hearing loss? I was told by one ent doc that I would benefit from them, I was told by another that I wouldn't.

FAQ POST…..IS MY HEART RATE TOO HIGH?
Photo by Artur Luczka on Unsplash With the ubiquity of Fitbits and other heart rate measuring devices, the title of this post has become a very frequent query on this forum and the answer is always the same……”Well, it all depends.” That is a not a very informative response, so in this

Diagnosis and Acupuncture
After having another Datscan this past year, my PD diagnosis was confirmed and I was told that my first test actually pointed to PD, though they had told me it was normal. I started taking Rytary and did not find that it helped my tremor, but other physical symptoms had mostly resolved before I started

NHS/NICE has decided to reclassify Chronic Pain today, into Primary and Secondary categories in the UK.
I am not sure if this has already been posted. NHS/NICE has decided to reclassify Chronic Pain today, into
Primary and Secondary
categories in the UK. It seems that anything that cannot be 'seen' or 'found' to have a cause is going to be 'Primary', and will have
fewer treatment options

Acupuncturist South Wales
Hi All, Just wondering if any of you have experience of using acupuncture alongside/before/after IVF, what are your thoughts? And if anyone has any recommendations for someone in South Wales area. Should be starting my first round in the next month or so and interested in exploring this addition. X

Having numbness in right leg after Covid-19
Good morning hope you are all doing well and keeping safe. It will be nearly one year since I was struck by Covid-19. Most the issue that I had after Covid-19 has been sorted out. I still have a numbness in my right leg and waiting for a nerve conductor test to find the cause of it. It could either be

Third transfer
Hi everyone, The past week has been pretty rough and just hoping to get some advice... After our second failed transfer (I know that isn’t lots but we are in a same sex relationship so it really is now or never), we had our review appointment on Tuesday which didn’t go how I thought! The doctor said

I have tinnitus and slight hearing loss due to cotton bud incident pushed into ear with force. I am told I have sensoneurial hearing loss. I have behind the ear hearing aids from the NHS. Are these the only hearing aids I can have ? I also am waiting for a perforated ear drum to be repaired Please

Strange tinnitus noice
Hi all. I am new here. I am a tinnitus sufferer for the last 15 years. The whole thing started after a bout of ear infections and loss of some of my hearing. To start with it was a low level pulsatile tinnitus, which I got used to rather quickly and it didn’t really bother me much over the years. However

Nebivolol timing and low blood pressure
I take 2.5mg Nebivolol and 200mg Flecainide daily, taking the Nebivolol in the mornings. I have low normal BP but recently have had readings in the 80/50 range which make me feel pretty bad. I drink water and keep my salt level up but every day down it goes about 2 hours after I take the Nebivolol
