I have tinnitus and slight hearing loss due to cotton bud incident pushed into ear with force.

I am told I have sensoneurial hearing loss. I have behind the ear hearing aids from the NHS.

Are these the only hearing aids I can have ?

I also am waiting for a perforated ear drum to be repaired

Please help

Many thanks Julia

Through the NHS it’s free as are batteries and tubes. If you buy privately the salesperson - who is trained but may not be a qualified audiologist- will advise on what’s appropriate for you personally - on this forum were not qu’atone advise on this technical, issue.

Hi Julia. I've got an NHS hearing aid for my right ear. It's OK. Everything seems rather loud to me. I'm waiting until I've been to ENT before I do anything else.
