Removing ms Continus
Like many people on here, the pharmacy practitioner from my doctors surgery has decided she is taking me off morphine slow release tablets and oramorph, I’ve been on the same dose for 6 years, I’ve really really struggled to not let my dose go up, regardless of the pain, as I’m a carer for my 82 yr

Aortic Valve replacement - The Op & 7 days after
Hi All, Further to my earlier post I am going to give you as much info as I can about the operation itself and my hospital stay. I had my Op at the end of October 2019 in the Bristol Heart Institute (part of the BRI). I was booked in for the first Op of the day, which was a relief, as I didn't fancy

Hi everyone, I'm new to health unlocked but have been suffering with severe endometriosis for over 14 years. Since my last op (to remove the endo from my diaphragm and pelvic area) I have been suffering with excruciating pain! My pain threshold is usually quite good, like most of us I'm sure! I've been

Has anyone had endometriosis come back with in a year of having a full hysterectomy and how did you deal with it?
I had a full hysterectomy Feb 2019 due to endometriosis and adhesions. I am also a type 1 diabetic but getting the same symptoms as pre op and currently on oramorph and oxynorm which whilst on this I don't feel my hypos. Which I am struggling to deal with daily life and worried endometriosis has come

Ventolin
Hi has anyone had a feeling that their ventolin inhaler is just not helping anymore. For about the last 4/6 weeks mine doesn't seem to be helping with my breathlessness so I have found myself relying on oramorph which I'm not very happy about. Ideas and suggestions please Patsy

Unsuccessful pain management
Hi everyone, Last night I ended up being taken into my local A + E by ambulance after ringing 111. I’m on the second day of my cycle and have been having my usual symptoms; sickness, headaches, fainting, diarrhoea and feeling extremely fatigued. The pain this month is the worst it’s been, it just seems

Four months on Trimbow & Oramorph.
Hi Folks. Just a bit of an update from me. I have been on the three in one inhaler Trimbow for Four months now and Oramorph for the same period. Today, I had my yearly review with the practice nurse. I was all prepared for the usual exhausting tests on the computer attached Spirometer but, low and behold

Hi, is anyone out there suffering from full body small fibre neuropathy? I take oramorph for pain because none of the anti depressants etc work. I am slowly losing the feeling in my hands and feet, anyone got any words of encouragement to offer? Thanks all for all your help in the past.

At what point do you need to go to hospital?
Hello everyone, I have gone to A&E a few times when my pain levels in my back and stomach have gotten unbearable. The response has been very similar each time....go home and take more painkillers. This week I have been so unwell. Unbearable pain in my mid back which wraps around to the front, migraine

Stage 4 Endometriosis ☹️ Want someone to talk to?
Hi, I have was diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis in April 2019 after suffering for years with severe pain, constant bleeding and many other symptoms! I had a laparoscopy and when I woke they basically told me that it was too severe to remove and that they would have to have an MDT meeting to discuss

Just home from hospital. Update.
Hi Everyone, Just wanted to let everyone know that I have been given Oramorph and it has helped me so much. Without the members of this site, I don't know where I'd be. I cannot express my thanks enough to you all for the good advice and support I've received. You're worth a room full of doctors

An end to my PIP Saga
I posted months ago about my ‘PIP’ debacle with the DWP. I’m 70 now and missed the April cutoff date in 2014 for just staying on my DLA by a few months, ending up with the torture of repeated PIP Assessments. This almost resulted in death - dreading my last but one home assessment I took too much Oramorph

My 2nd lap - sedatives & painkillers?
Hey ladies, I have my second laparoscopy next week, the first time I was given oramorph to take home thankfully because I was in SO much pain. I'm getting so anxious that they won't give me enough painkillers to take home :( :( If they don't would the doctor prescribe something at my local surgery?
