One year nicotine free
Today marks one year. It has not been easy, well... the quit part was, the anxiety that was left behind has not been. But it is getting more manageable. When I quit, I read a lot about people relapsing, how hard and unlikely it would be to quit on the first try. I am so glad that I surpassed those odds

Poorly this Christmas
Well folks, I like to start by wishing you all a very happy Christmas, I do hope you all had lots of fun and spread the joy to all your family and friends. I, however, have had a rough one...started a over a week ago when I caught the “flu bug” (lucky me!) then as I was fighting to eliminate this I

I’m new here, joined for other groups but saw this and just thought I’d offer something up on just about the only thing I’ve ever succeeded at! 30 years of 20-30 a day habit , on 6th January 2018 after reading the Allen Carr book for the third time I threw tobacco, tin and everything in the bin at teatime

I’m new here and I have to quit smoking for my health
Hi everyone, I’ve smoked for over 40 years, I gave up a few years ago from September to December, I used an e-cigarette and I was fine, when hubby went out for a smoke I’d go too just to smell the fresh smoke because I loved that smell...on Christmas Day, after a lovely dinner I said I was going to “

I feel myself slipping and I'm so tempted
I'm turning here for support. I've been experiencing very intense cravings all day today. I figured i should try to talk it out here before lighting up. I'm tired, I'm in pain, and I'm depressed. I am also suffering a bad break up alone in silence because i can't tell anyone (long story) This person

On the 9th day she almost caved but stood firm and said NO! ❤
Today has been so difficult, the last 2 hours I've been debating lighting up. But i didn't, I'm still craving so decided to check in here instead. I remember the last few quits it always seemed to be really hard around day's 10-12 for me. I visited the ENT 2 days ago and he put a scope down my nose into

What now? Starting to lose hope
Hello, I joined this forum on impulse cause I saw it and I really want to quit smoking. The trouble is I haven't done anything about quitting for 2 years at least & I have no idea or inspiration about what to try next. I smoke more the more stressed I am. This is a problem cause I have mental health

Hey! It’s been quite awhile since I last posted but here I am all smoke free and ish! I honestly no longer count but the app gives me milestone reminders. Aside from occasional wheezing, I often forget that nicotine was such a big part of my life. No cravings, I can smell people’s breath even when

Almost 5 weeks quit
I quit vaping on 28th October 2019 and I want to tell you the story of how and why in order that hopefully it will help other people just like I have found solace in this group. The moment happened when I’d hired a beach buggy and upon returning said buggy I left my vape in the glove compartment.

A whole year, I think
I almost missed it. That’s how little I think about smoking these days. I haven’t used a tracker, so I don’t know exactly how much money I’ve saved, I also always used to lie about how much I smoked, but at least 4 and often 6 packets a week at £8.00 or £9.00 a packet is at least £1800.00 .Lot of money

Anxiety and Stress
It’s been just about a year and 10 months since I last smoked. Over the course of this time I have had a lot of ups and downs. I worry about everything. My anxiety kicks in and does not let me be myself. I went back to college and played a full season of soccer. Everything was great. I met a lot of new

Well today was day 4, the heavy cravings have subsided and I may be speaking too soon, but this is easier than I thought It would be. I understand nicotine is out the system after 72 hours so that mark has passed that now. I'm am eating a fair bit more and will have to make sure I don't swap one crutch

Thought I was dying!
After a high speed drive to our emergency hospital on Saturday night, I have decided to quit smoking after 30+ years. I’m a 47 year old woman who has smoked 20 cigarettes a day since being a teenager. On Saturday night I couldn’t breathe (triggered by a bad cold that went on my chest) and for anyone

Mind Games
I keep telling myself that I may as well start smoking again if I am going to feel this dreadful for the rest of my life. I’ve been here before so know that these are just tricks the mind plays with you to get you to start again. Having said that though it really would be easier if I felt joyful and

Day four since quitting cold turkey. Oh my god I never thought it would be this hard!! Emotionally and physically. I’ve been sleeping loads and exercising every day. My top tips for getting through those first three days: 1) WATER - like all the time. You will be going to the toilet a lot... 2) Exercise
