Is there an RLS/PLM medication suitable for Driving?
Hi. I'm a Train Operator and have suffered with RLS/PLM for many years. Until now I've been able to manage mild symptoms and only really suffered if I was over-tired or exhausted. The condition runs in my family and my Mum was prescribed Sinemet and my sister is taking Ropinirole. My symptoms have recently

Tyrosine
Has anyone taken tyrosine and had any positive outcomes? I already take magnesium Iron and B12. I have recently added Omega 3 but when looking into Pramipexole and dopamine I came across Tyrosine. It seems you can literally buy a supplement for anything these days but wondering if its worth looking

Parkinson’s Disease Is Not One, but Two Diseases
https://neurosciencenews.com/parkinsons-two-diseases-17065/ Click link above for a video in the article. Summary: Parkinson’s disease can be divided into two variants that start in different places in the body. For some, the neurodegenerative disease starts in the intestines and spreads to the brain

Neurologist for RLS- frustrated
I finally saw the neurologist for RLS. She wants me to take Horizant, and balked at giving me low dose a Tramadol because I’m breastfeeding. (Tramadol does not cause issues in breastfeeding, which is why unwanted to try it. EVERY other drug for RLS does.) Told me to stay on the ropinerole at .50 mg

Coping with ADHD hypersexuality
This is embarrassing for me to admit, but I think in my brain's endless quest for dopamine, I have a preoccupation with sexuality that has been ongoing from the age of 13 to present (I'm 36 now). I'm married and my wife tries to be understanding, but her baseline libido is nearly non-existent and mine

Reducing oxidative stress and inflammation to slow Parkinson's disease
This is the subject I've been working on for a year now. The basic research has been going on for 20 years. The key researchers are the brilliant Prof Albena Dinkova-Kostova in Dundee UK for the cellular and genetic processes, the neuroscientist Antonio Cuadrado in Madrid and Jed Fahey in US for plant

Hi everyone I’ve had loads of advice from this site and I’m still seeking it. I’ll give you a quick synopsis of what I’ve been going through and where I am now. I have had RLS what seems like forever. I took Ropinirole for 10 years, went through augmentation, developed a gambling problem and managed

Can Oligomeric Proanthocyanadins (OPC's) be of any benefit for ADHD??
Short answer: Yes Oligomeric Proanthocyanadins (OPC's for short) are polyphenols which help give fruit, vegetables, and plants their dark, rich color. These micronutrients contain very strong antioxidants and phytochemicals that assist plants with disease preventive properties. Someone messaged me

Scientists look to cell recycling tools for new ways to treat Parkinson's disease
A new study clue finds an understanding approach of PD " The scientists noticed that the PARKIN-lacking neurons with malfunctioning mitochondria had more activation of a protein-making gene called PARIS which is linked to mitochondria regulation. When Dawson and his colleagues genetically engineered

Natural molecules that stimulate dopamine production may help reverse Parkinson's disease
The team designed the study based on the knowledge that a protein called Nurr1 is key for maintaining the health of neurons that produce dopamine, which helps control a person's movements and emotions. It is thought that decreased Nurr1 effectiveness may lead to a decrease in dopamine levels, which then

MAOB Inhibitors vs Carbidopa/Levodopa as first prescription for PD
Hi. I'm not new, but have been content to mostly "lurk" and soak up info 'til now. I'm contemplating meds for the first time. I've ruled out dopamine agonists for now--I'm put off by the side effect possibilities. I'm weighing MAOB inhibitors vs C/L. Assuming effectiveness isn't an issue--after all

OCD is just another Addiction.
During the battle against OCD, working to connect the dots and through own experiences to understand what is it that we confront with and how to overcome it, I realized something about OCD, that I would like to share. If my opinion is seen fit and useful, it may help understand in a certain angle what
