Hi I am a survivor of child domestic violence and severe domestic violence of over 10 years. I am now in a better relationship now, but how do you all go about getting rid of all the past without going to counseling

It took a little while for them to admit their mistake, by then a lot of damage had been done on top of the domestic violence stuff(was never offered any help for at all).

I was isolated from my family (domestic violence) I was living in a severe poverty abused by the father of my children. He rarely work and when work was to use it for his addiction. Now after 20 years that I escape from him. Went to school and obtain a MS.

I grew up in a home with domestic violence and have so many ugly memories. I remember my father hitting my mom from when I was age 6 until I was 18. We have no communication or a real parents/daughter relationship. They only call me when they need something or money.

October is domestic violence month. My younger sister and I were both victims of domestic violence. So was our mother. My sister was murdered. I survived. I'm the poster child for trauma. I got out of that marriage. Unfortunately, divorce doesn't end abuse.

I am a survivor of childhood physical abuse by both parents and also had to witness violent Domestic Violence regularly between parents. I lived in terror daily. I now know I had childhood CPTSD. No escape.

After finding myself in a domestic violence relationship and I am a survivor after 7 years I now suffer from sever PTSD. My primary Dr. Was the one who had me on my medicine. After finding out I had not been honest with her about my bad relationship she slowly took me off my Xanax.

domestic Violence should not be this complicated does the authorities not realise how stressful how painful how belittling I feel. But I will keep fighting and thank you for all your support believe me I need it.

Now Im a single parent left with many issues to deal with alone, after domestic violence. I have a very negative and disappointing family that only seek to serve themselves out of my efforts and put me down. I have no friends nor support around.

I ended up yesterday in the er and the bruising was so severe they thought I was a victim of domestic violence They constructed a fake visit by a doctor who secretly asked me if I was “safe” at home and if I needed help. Embarrassing. But sweet Be well!!!

My relationship after the divorce landed me in a domestic violence shelter, then homeless. I was fortunate enough to have a wonderful cousin, who had a house that had plenty of empty rooms and I moved in with him seven years ago.
