chronic constipation
I’m still waiting for a colonoscopy. Meanwhile I’m taking 3 docusate a day and 2 senna at night. I hardly have bowel movements. Feel constantly bloated, having severe crampy spasms in left lower back. Does anyone else suffer like this. I try drinking hot water in the morning. I find that prunes

Strange “needles” pain in 4 year old with severe constipation
My daughter (4.5) has Ehlers Danlos (connective tissue disorder) which affects her joints and muscles. It causes constipation, unsafe swallow and hyper mobility. We’ve done disimpaction for weeks, many times. The poo that comes out burns her so badly that her skin gets covered in pin pricks of blood

5 weeks on from rifamixin for SIBO and IBS C.
I do think things have settled somewhat, though it has only happened gradually. I realised I needed less and less of the docusate/cosmocol and hardly any now. I try to keep with the low fodmap diet but not totally. Thankfully my pains have reduced (I do wonder if some of that was linked to the laxatives

SIBO and antibiotics
l am now feeling so out of my depth. Having been screened and cleared for obvious causes I have seen an NHS Consultant who says I am positive for SIBO. I have tried to work with low fodmap diet previously but without much success. My test with lactose was “equivocal” but a following one with glucose

Ventricular Standstills
Hi I had a 24hr Holter test in December and found results on my NHS app. This showed 5 pauses from over 3 to 7.13 seconds and a second degree heart block type ll mainly 2:1 conduction. I have had twinges in my left chest and palpations for months. Put on delophine XL and twinges stopped after 3 weeks

Ventricular standstill and laxatives
Hi All I had a 24 hour holter monitor test and the results show 5 pauses of over 3 to 7.13 seconds. I have been prescribed Laxido and docusate for 5 months for chronic constipation. I am having an echocardiogram and listed for a urgent pacemaker. Has anyone experienced heart pauses when on laxatives

Brand change in oral solution
Morning and hope everyone has had a lovely Easter . I have just received my prescription and it is a different brand to that which I’ve had since the end of December. Some posts have said to be careful on switching brands . Initially I was taking Teva. The new brand is Mercury Pharmaceuticals. Please

At last I’ve managed 2x5minute runs🤣 and shoe porn 🤣🤣
We’ll after at least 2 months of physio and exercises I’ve finally got to 2x5 minutes of running. I still felt som pain but physio did say that I could carry on so long as it wasn’t too severe. So now I think I will stick with this regime for a while and I’ll try 2 runs a week. It’s slow progress but

pain under ribs
I have been now been told my discomfort is ibs constipation and not hiatus hernia or acid reflux. Symptoms started 8 years ago and steadily deteriorated so I’m now finding it difficult to eat/drink. Domperidone did help (half tab not every day) but GE said not to take it as advice re impact on heart

I am now able to tolerate antibiotics again after my nerves healed
Hello! I just want to give this update about my situation. I hope people on here find this because my situation was a nightmare and I think this can help people who are confused and not sure what to do or if they'll ever be able to tolerate antibiotics again (TL;DR: you will be able to if you can heal

My 20 year old nephew is not showing any signs
My nephew who just turned 20 3 months ago was riding on his motorcycle when an irresponsible driver hit in to him and had a major accident. The air ambulance said if he did not have a helmet he most likely would have crushed his brain and been pronounced dead at the scene however He’s been in coma since

gut microbiota and dopamine
A growing body of evidence showed that gut microbiota dysbiosis might be associated with the pathogenesis of Parkinson’s disease (PD). Microbiota-targeted interventions could play a protective role in PD by regulating the gut microbiota-gut-brain axis. Sodium butyrate (NaB) could improve gut microbiota

Why am I experiencing migraines, muscle twitching and generally feeling poo 💩?!
Last year year this forum was incredibly helpful when I had a very scary patch of feeling dreadful. I nearly passed out in the middle of the night. Eventually I was diagnosed with vestibular migraine and haven’t felt myself since. I get some migraine symptoms like zig zagging in eye and tiredness but

Finally found some relief for IC
Hi everyone, I’m 48 & was diagnosed with IC & Hunners ulcers after having a bladder lift in 2005 & having the mesh fall apart & get stuck in my pelvic floor wall. The mesh was of course toxic and did a number on my bladder as well. I tried EVERYTHING you could imagine & kept track of when pain would

Gummies - BE CAREFUL
There is a huge range of substances now available in the form of gummies. And gummies are made to taste nice. And this disguises that they contain active ingredients with serious effects. They themselves seem entirely innocuous. Possibly there is more concern over any sugars and sweeteners than what

How do we get a T3 test requested?
morning, just been reading through a load of things on here as I’m not sure my figures are where they should be at the moment. I’m getting a load of problems lately especially to do with my feet, muscle aches, dry skin, anxiety, brain fog (and also what I think is pulsatile tinnitus that’s driving
