I am reading a book called a Fat and Furious by Steve Bennett at the moment. There is a lot of information and challenges to the current, and past, weight loss assumptions with input from the likes of Dr Malcolm MacKendrick, Dr Jason Fung, Dr David, Unwin, Tim Noakes and many others. Some interesting

Symbicort 100/6 for COPD?
Hi. I've just been prescribed this inhaler in place of Fostair. I was diagnosed with COPD in 2010 after initial confusion as to whether I had Asthma. The tests confirmed COPD not Asthma. Reading the package leaflet it tells me this inhaler is SPECIFICALLY for Asthma! It doesn't even mention COPD! In

But as normal my lining is thin ( about 6 ) so I'm currently on... 1 avocado a day, lots of whole milk, ridiculous amount of fruit and

Newly diagnosed, feel really lost.
Hi, I have just been diagnosed today with type 2 diabetes and am totally clueless. Everything online seems so conflicting and I am scared to eat anything as I am unsure what I am OK to eat and what I should not be eating. Any advice would be great

Diuretic for Ascites
I have quite a bit of fluid in my belly and my doctor has me on Aldactone. However the dosage seems too low to me and I have not started pee away my fluid. My doctor is being conservative which is good but I'm convinced that to feel better I need to get rid of fluid ASAP. Anyone else take a long time

Just in case anyone thinks that advice to separate calcium (and iron) from levothyroxine is a figment of our imaginations, have a look at this paper. Not only does the paper make a point about separating taking of calcium and levothyroxine, by a long time, but they emphasise that doctors, including

have I got prediabetes?
I've tested my blood sugar with an at home finger prick monitor and my fasting morning reading was 6.1mmol. I've done it again 2 hours after eating my evening meal and its still 6.1mmol...which is surely good? But don't understand the High Reading in the morning Edit: I've recently upped my sertraline
