Covid-19 Update: Remdesivir US Trial Results fail to live up to expectations, or does it? It depends on what you want to believe.
My observations are my own and based on my extensive experience conducting clinical trials. I am sure not everyone will agree with my perspective. I have tried my best to present an "objective" review of this very important Trial. MY SUMMARY: An antiviral drug which was historically ineffective in

I’m amazed!
Day 6 today and I’ve lost 4.1kgs or 9lbs !!!! I can not believe it! Although I’ve never been this heavy (84.1kg) and had suspected the week loss in wk 1 to be good, of all the many many diets I have done over the years I’ve never stuck to LCHF before and I’ve certainly not ever had such a huge loss.

Still having hypo symptoms
I had been on 150mcg of thyroxine but due to still being hypo, this was increased to 175mcg. I saw an endo privately and as I was still having hypo symptoms, my thyroxine has now been increased to 250mcg, which is a lot more than I should be on in relation to my size. The endo has checked my vitamin.and

Any Type 2 Diabetes tips please?
Since her diagnosis Oct 2019 my mum hasn't been given a blood sugar test, despite requesting it often. They did one finally after another Dr was assigned to her, as she suspected she now has pred induced type 2 diabetes. Since losing her vision, her only little enjoyment in life has been occasional sweets

Yo-yo dieter
Hello I feel like I have been dieting all my adult life! I lost nearly 2 stone last year and promised myself I would never put it back on... I have around 4.5 stone to lose. I enjoy running (sort of) and have been going 5 times a week between 4-12km since lockdown. My diet is mostly healthy, but I

PBC and diet
2 days ago I posted about PBC / itch/ diet. I wondered if anyone had been advised to follow a diet or remove foods/drinks from their diet when diagnosed with PBC? I've not had a single reply relating to diet! From my own experience, I was never advised that there are certain inflammatory foods which

Pred and prediabetic
I must start off by apologising for deleting the 'wine post' recently, lots of you were having fun with it and I was overcome with emails. I panicked and whipped it off 🙈. I was diagnosed with pre diabetes in early January with a blood sugar reading of 6.4, I weighed 202lbs. I am 5'9" tall. By the middle

Acne in your no-ose...shame on you!
I'd much rather have curlers in my hair, if you got the reference... My nose has been getting more and more plugged lately from all the pus and blood scabs. Today, I noticed I have a huge whitehead INSIDE my nostril. Joy. Always a new side effect, right?! The positive is that one doesn't NEED their nose

How many grammes of fat a day?
Hi, I’m new here and I was wondering who tracks how much fat is eaten in a day and generally whether you think it’s good or not so good to use a macronutrients and/or calorie tracker? I’m day one of LCHF and use a Fitbit app to track most things daily! Thank you.

For the last few weeks I have been suffering a prickly itch over all of my body. I have huge sympathy with those who have lived with this for years :-(. I have written down the names of 6 different medications mentioned in the forums, such as Cholestyramine (Questran) - it's my understanding they
