New to CPAP/Airsense Sleep Apnea machines - how did you choose the model you have?
Hi all, new to this community. My dad's sleep test came back with severe Sleep Apnea results. We're told by the Neurologist to go on Resmed.com and a few other sites to see which model we want to rent (covered by Medicare). Currently considering the Airsense 11, but would love to some guidance and first

A1C level
I called my doctor's office ahead of my Monday appointment to ask what my A1C was. It went from 7.7 to 7.3. I am disappointed that it wasn't lower with the amount of insulin I take. I know I can be better with my diet and exercise. I have been alot better using my CPAP. Disappointed was hoping for

Jaw and Shoulder Pain
Did anyone have jaw and/or shoulder pain that was eventually relieved once they found their sweetspot? I am 24 days on 100mcg T4 and 5mcg T3. I have the jaw and shoulder pain, plus still very tired. I think the brain fog is somewhat better. It is hard to sort out brain fog and fatigue at times. I can

PERIODIC LIMB MOVEMENT DISORDER
I have not shared for a while. I would like to report that I have been taking the iron supplement every other day with orange juice. Also am taking 300 Gabapentin. I did a sleep study last year and it showed that the PLMD is not disturbing my sleep as it is now at a moderate amount. The sleep study

Pain control with PLMD
I take 100 mg Lyrica for PLMD, the lowest possible dosage as I never have been able to shake the daytime sedation. Now I have some kind of pinched nerve that has been causing chronic pain. Tylenol is not sufficient (I am going to try a lidocaine patch today for the first time and hope that will help

Hypothyroid / sleep apnea
HI all, been a user of this excellent resource for a few years and wanted to share my journey and recent success for others to review in future. I was diagnosed hypothyroid 5 years ago and had immediate success with small dose of levo which lifted my brain fog, fatigue and made me feel whole again.

+groin pain
I have intermittent testicle pain, numbness in the foot, and hip pain, sometimes accompanied by IBS-type symptoms. I cannot get any answers except that maybe I have an entrapped pudendal nerve and scar tissues from a prior surgery that may contribute to pinched nerves. When the pain flares, it's terrible

Salt Therapy using a CPAP machine
I have been reading of the benefits of Salt Therapy using a CPAP machine. Essentially, a little salt is added to the water reservoir and breath in the mineralised air at night. Its supposed to reduce inflammation within the lungs. Has anyone tried this?

THC and augmentation
In researching THC use and RLS, it is described as a dopamine agonist. Is there evidence it can also produce augmentation? . It works very well for me and does not produce the side effect that makes Gabapentin, Lyrica or opioids unacceptable options. However I can’t use it much because of my line of

CPAP Machines and Chest Infections
Recently, I had a flare up of Bronchiectasis. I was issued Doxy that has helped and I'm due for a CT Scan in a couple of weeks. I was pondering why it suddenly flared up and my wife suggested my CPAP machine. I thought I was pretty good at keeping the reservoir, hose and mask free from mould. However

Help with histamine/levothyroxine query
Hi wanted to check with the wonderful fountain of knowledge and experience on this: I have no thyroid and currently take 75 mg of levothyroxine. I am treating some of my hypothyroid symptoms with sublingual B12 and homemade liver pate for folate - the combination has made a significant improvement.

Afib, sleep apnea and diverticulitis from aerophagia
Hi. I have afib and sleep apnea. As you know, some think that sleep apnea may be a causitive factor in afib. I have been using cpap and bipap machines for some years for the apnea, and have a problem of swallowing air (aerophagia). Before the improvements in cpap technology, I would wake up after a

Home monitoring for RLS?
I have sleep apnoea as well as RLS/PLMD. I was wondering whether there was a way of monitoring RLS events (microawakenings) caused by RLS without going into hospital and having a full overnight sleep study with PSG? I am able to monitor my apnoea events per hour using my CPAP data card and the OSCAR

Shortness of breadth
I had open heart surgery 8 years ago, I used to have AFIB but a valve replacement resolved it so far. I also have sleep apnea and use a cpap. Recently I have been getting up in the middle of the night once or twice to urinate and I am experiencing shortness of breadth. After I urinate it goes away.

Would You Recommend a pure CBD Gummy/Oil For Insomnia/Myoclonus, or a THC CBD variant?
I have seen a couple of people in the RLS community say that in addition to various meds (pregabalin, gabapentin), they also take indica gummies with a few mg of cbd to assist with sleeping and muscle twitching/myoclonus/plms. For those who have had success in not only sleeping but suppressing these

Aerophagia with cpap
Hi. I have a history of swallowing air while using Cpap/Bipap machines. I had to stop for some years because the gas pains would wake me whiling sleeping. Around that time I developed an umbilical hernia and feel the aerophagia was at least partly to blame. I am now dealing with episodes of diverticulitis
