Anxiety and vent weaning? Also a novel of my moms icu experience
Long story but I will try to make this as short as I can. My mom has been on the ventilator for 3 months. She ended up in the hospital having trouble breathing and she had a low heart rate. She had to to get put on the ventilator. She was getting better, got off of the ventilator and out of the ICU but

Hi Everyone, I have started using and making my own versions of CBD and THC oils, Teas and lip balms. (It works better for me if there is some THC in...plain CBD🤏 just makes it sound politically, socially and medically correct, for asses who dont live with this) Firstly because it's way to expensive

Feeling Sad
My beloved partner has been through the mill these past 5 weeks and I need some reassurance. He went in for elective surgery in a brain aneurysm, suffered a stroke during surgery, had two further surgeries for bleeds and clots and will be, tomorrow, two weeks out if an induced coma. He is my soul mate

Masks for Sleep Apnea
Good Morning everyone Need some advice. My husband was diagnosed 4 years ago with sleep apnea, along with PF. He was given a CPAP machine for night time along with an oxygen machine. Up until a few months ago all worked well, but for some unknown reason he appears to have become allergic to the mask

Is there something wrong with my lungs or is it all part of the healing process? I’m scared.
Unfortunately, I vaped nicotine and thc cartridges for two years constantly. Around 5 months ago I noticed some shortness of breath and decided to quit. Since then, I have felt more worse then better. I am very worried there is something wrong. I feel a constant tightness in my chest and lungs, and my

Central Hypothroyid & Sleep Apnea
My thyroid tests typically show normal T3/T4 and suppressed TSH, my latest tests: T3: 4.95 (2.63-5.69) T4: 14.65 (9-19) TSH*: 0.05 (0.27-4.2) * Note: my TSH is typically at this level but I have seen it get to normal level ~1 when T4/T3 drop close to lower range. I was also diagnosed with moderate sleep

Oppositional, ADHD, substance using 17yr son at MY breaking point
Hi All. I’m so sad here. Just reread my post from 2 years ago; can’t believe how hard this journey has been. Bottom line here, my son just doesn’t accept house rules. Pushes boundaries, is secretive, moody, angry, defiant. Last weekend, he crashed his car @3:30am w/2 Friend’s inside. Both illegal,

My experience with mannitol
FYI, I posted this on 2 PD Facebook groups yesterday: I started taking mannitol 2 weeks ago. I purchased it in bulk from Amazon, and I add 1 tablespoon to a cup of hot organic decaf tea every night (I drink several different types and brands of tea). I've read that it's good to take it with coffee or

Dealing with probable but undiagnosed sleep apnea
So I got sort of a diagnosis of benign fasciculation syndrome over a year and a half ago, and have been in misery since dealing with it all the time. It basically means random muscles around my body twitch sporadically, sometimes constantly, without stopping. I saw three neurologists and all of them

CBD OIL ADVICE PLEASE. Reputable Company if anyone could advise....
Hi I am going to purchase CBD Oil as I can't take strong pain meds GP has prescribed recently/and in past...e.g. Pregabalun, Morphine, tramadol, nefopam hydrochloride. After googling FULL SPECTRUM CBD Oil I found 2 UK sites:- Provocan and Hempoil. I would so appreciate hearing from anyone who has taken

Snorepod (Jeeno Electronics)
Hi All, I came across an advert on instagram for Snorepod. Manufactured by Jeeno Electronics as an alternative to CPAP. Has anyone ever heard of this and even tried one?

Back pain
Hey my friends just checking to see if any of you have ever had RFA on you back? My pain management doctor wants to do that because other than pain meds there is nothing that can be done for my back. I saw a neurosurgeon and she did mri with contrast. She said that she would have to give me a whole

Do you know when you're having afib?
I had afib for six months before an ablation in November 2016. In October I'd started using a CPAP machine. I also have a Pacemaker for bradycardia; it keeps track of any afib episodes, and I've had none since the ablation. The question is whether I should stay on the Xeralto, blood thinner to counter

Covid-Two ambulance visits
On the 29th March, I called an ambulance to send my Dad to hospital. He’d been battling Covid for a week or so at home, but it had got progressively worse to the point he was struggling to breath. There was crackling in his chest and I noted his Sats had dropped. He battled in hospital on CPAP for

Obstructive Sleep Apnoea and nightmares ... please help
My husband has Obstructive Sleep Apnoea (OSA), he has bad nightmares and 12 months ago also developed anxiety and PTSD. I recently read an article that says these 3 symptoms can be linked to OSA. Has anyone else come across this and is there any help to manage these symptoms as they affect his sleep
