I’ve only been given diagnosis of Severe Sleep apnea 2 months ago , and diabetes type 2

But I know that I have had snoring problems for years .

ive been given CPAP machine, had a lot of issues with Nausea , bloated with Gas , feeling Dizzy And get headaches, sometimes coz head gear from machine digs into head /ears .

I’ve been told that I have a small Jaw , and when I open my mouth I DONT have much gap !!!

ive had surgeries , but it’s never been mentioned I’m shocked!!

I’ve had so many problems with my stomach, diverticulitis and nausea/ constipation IBS

I’m sure some of it is related to sleep apnea.

i thought CPAP would cure it , but I’m still feeling tired and don’t feel well most days . I am really at a loss to what is causing so many problems.

Hi there. There is no reason why your headgear should be uncomfortable or the cpap machine should make you feel ill. Using a CPAP is a massive change and it takes time to get used to it and to get it comfortable. It is important not to just accept what you are given and then give up the therapy because it is not right for you - there are many different types of headgear and your respiratory technician can alter the settings on the machine to make it more comfortable. Perhaps ask about using headgear which have a soft strap and pillows.
