Symbicort Blood Sugars
Last week I had a particularly bad asthma day and went from my usual one puff a day to seven puffs. On that same day after taking all those puffs, I had my blood drawn and the glucose level was 7 and freaked me out as I had never had a problem with blood glucose. Last thing I want now is diabetes!!!

Staying healthy in lock-down....we’ll sort of!
I was reading in a magazine about how to keep healthy in these times of lock-down. All the usual things such as fresh fruit and vegetables, plenty of water, high fibre diet, mindfulness and where possible daily exercise. If, like me, you have probably read it so many times you wonder why you are killing

The last year...
Since my post last year, my RUQ pain still comes and goes. However, I now have chronic, widespread pain and extreme fatigue. I was diagnosed with neuropathy after nerve conduction studies and myopathy after EMG & muscle biopsy. My vitamin D is low so I've been put on D3. Other abnormal labs are c reactive

T4 as well as T3 in the cell contributes to oxygen consumption
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/2484909/ Hi I thought it was just the T3 in the cells that produced oxygen consumption and glucose uptake but according to this paper it is both the T4 and T3 in the cells which do it. I didn't know this. So obviously T4 is just as important as T3. Is this correct?

Thinkin Bout Things, Salt this time
With a bit of time, even things like the COVID virus are accommodated by our fears and broader concerns bubble back up. One of the challenges faced by a lot of people with serious chronic illness is that they are alone physically or emotionally. As I think about these past weeks and staying at home

Dietary Fibre and Diabetes
Dietary fiber is a kind of carbohydrate not digested by our digestive system and so net sugar absorption from Dietary fiber by our body is NIL. It forms a kind of Roughage and forms a bulk of your stool..it cleans your stomach well..... And when we talk about carb content of a particular food item, you
