Since my post last year, my RUQ pain still comes and goes. However, I now have chronic, widespread pain and extreme fatigue. I was diagnosed with neuropathy after nerve conduction studies and myopathy after EMG & muscle biopsy. My vitamin D is low so I've been put on D3. Other abnormal labs are c reactive protien (high) glucose (high) insulin (high) creatinine (low) albumin (high). I've been to internist, neurologist, rheumatologist, and gastroenterologist no one can find the cause of the muscle and nerve pain and atrophy. I've had a fibroscan and was assured by the doctor that their was no evidence of scarring or cirrhosis, just a confirmation of NAFLD. Is this test definitive or should I fight to have a liver biopsy done? I feel like I have exhausted all of my options and am hitting a brick wall.

A fibroscan only tells how dense the liver tissue has become (kPa score) and it can also indicate how much fat is built up in the liver (CAP score). It can't give a 'cause' as to why you might have fatty build up etc.
Have they said anything about diabetes? High insulin, high glucose would point that way and poorly controlled diabetes can also lead to fatty liver. Neuropathy can also occur with diabetes. Low creatine can occur when you are dehydrated - are you drinking lots, peeing lots? Again common symptoms of diabetes.
I don't think they should be ignoring you if you have the high levels of the things you do. The high c-reactive protein shows you have ongoing inflammation somewhere in your body.
What are your ALT (Alanine aminotransferase) or AST (Aspartate aminotransferase) - they are also inflammation markers which are commonly raised in liver conditions.
A gastroenterologist shouldn't ignore the various high levels/low levels you've got as it definitely indicates you've got something going on.
If you are over weight and perhaps not following the healthiest of diets that might be a change you can make for yourself to try and help the fatty liver aspect but you definitely want to find out what is going on with the inflammation side of things.

I see you are in the USA and are probably battling the health insurance minefield for tests etc. I am not medically qualified just looking up the various things you've stated and offering an opinion.
Hope you get some answers from your doctors,
Katie
Hi Keith1213
I’m sorry to hear that you are in so much pain, but reading your post I’m presuming that they have checked for Gallstones 🤔because I have those and I’ve got to say they are not nice, good luck though I really hope someone comes up with something.
