Mirena and bleeding
I had a coil fitted for heavy periods about 2 years ago and haven't had a period for approx 18 months. In the last 2 days I've started bleeding with low abdominal pain. Any idea what should I do - do I go the the GP? I'm worried because my Mum died of ovarian cancer - I know it is highly unlikely

Hi, I'm 43 and going through menopause with various impacting issue's. I'm considering a full hysterectomy as can not continue as I am at present. Has anyone been through this decision around a similar age and has any advice? I've been offered the merina coil but with feed back for friends and colleagues

Hey just wondering if this is normal...had lap op 6 days ago and coil fitted and although healing nicely and can move easier I still feel sick as a dog and really dizzy and exhausted and spent last 2 days in bed. Also have a constant stabbing pain down below so wondering if it's the coil. My abdomin

Surgery and the coil??
Hi, I’m not yet 100% diagnosed with Endo but have my surgery in September. The doctors have told me to try on the Mirena coil instead of the pill (Lucette) and I’ll have it inserted during my surgery. I was wondering if anyone has had the coil and what their experiences were, as all I can find are bad

Yeast/candida overgrowth
Hello, I am 24 years old and I believe I have a yeast or candida overgrowth. I think I have had it for two years or longer. Two years ago I started taking birth control and then I realised that it was making my hair fall extremely fast ( a year later I decided to go off that specific pill) I tried a

Endo diagnosis + pain after exercise?
Hi all, I'm seeing my GP next week (armed with the Endo UK pain and symptom diary and history diary) to talk about endo. She diagnosed IBS 4 years ago (I get diarrhoea about once a day and can take about 4 packets of imodium instants in a week), and always offers contraceptive pills or the coil when

Copper Coil
I have booked an appointment to have the copper coil (UID) fitted. However I am already on medication for anxiety and I have read about the effects the copper coil can have on the mind and body and I can't afford to be anymore anxious. I am not coping well with the combined pill. I am currently on Cilest

I’m in need of some help/advice please!
Hi there, I’ve got Hashimoto’s and I was first diagnosed with an underactive thyroid in my early 20s. I’m 43 now and feeling worse than ever. My Thyroxine dose got lowered from 150mg to 125mg around a month ago ago due to high T4 levels. It coincided with me getting ill – sore throat, achey limbs,

Worst flare up I’ve ever had, can anyone relate?
Basics - diagnosed after 9 years of pain and endo was lasered, was told it was minimum (by a standard hospital that had no knowledge of the condition). A year later I had another op as pain got worse and they told me that the endo hadn’t grown back and fitted the coil. Had the coil removed after a year

Horrendously fed up
Hi all. I was diagnosed stage one/two endo back in october and had the endo ablated and had a peritoneal cyst excised. I was seen privately by a general gyn and honestly I wasn't particularly impressed with my care. She was kind of uptight and not particularly warm. I let her do my surgery because I

Doctors dont believe me about my symptoms
So after fighting for years I finally got a lap last year which confirmed I had endometriosis stage 1 in a couple of areas. It was treated and I wad given the mirena which I had to get removed as it made all my symptoms worse. I had a meeting with a pelvic pain team who said that it could not be endometriosis

IUCD (The Coil) for endo?
Hi guys, I've had endo for 8 years, I've never had a laparoscopy even though I have asked my doctor many times for one but they never want to give me one. Every time I go to the doctors though and I've seen a few different ones they always immediately recommend the coil. I just want to know how

Nervous of lap now
Ok so a little back ground. After years of pain and issues with cyst (not endometriosis cysts) I had an exploratory lap in 2016. I was shocked because I didn’t feel I had the symptoms or by any means the level of pain women would post about. I was told it was on my bladder, bowel and pouch of Douglas
