Couldn't Make This 💩 Up!
At 4:45 this afternoon I was back at my local surgery, for the second time in 6 hours! About an hour after I started the Nystatin and the Naseptin Nasal Cream, the palms of my hands became ridiculously itchy! I was walking around Waitrose (looking for Sauerkraut, as you do!) and looked like a woman

Yes indeeda... it is candida!
I just had the best experience! That's twice this week... I'm on a roll! It was my first ever appointment with a Nurse Practitioner at my local surgery and she was warm welcoming, empathetic and thorough! (More thorough than many of her doctor colleagues!) She confirmed I do indeed have the dreaded

Lymphoma and FND
Hello all. I mentioned in a previous post over a year ago now that my journey with Lymphoma took me to various weird places. I was ill for a number of months before I was diagnosed, I couldn't walk properly, I literally couldn't pick my feet up from the floor, I dragged my feet, it was weird. I had RCHOP

Week 9 and beyond cream crackered update
Been a while since i last posted folks so here's the score on the door .Well only one way to say it really , it has all gone very Pete Tong with my cancer treatment. The last course of chemo never touched the new tumour that has appeared on my liver . so all the treatment options we thought we would

Part Two for patient readers
In fact it is worth noting that 5mg of prednisone equals 20mg of hydrocortisone. It stays longer in the system so is more effective for lung disease sufferers. She explained that the biological dosage was between 5 and 7.5mg of prednisone and I better start on the higher dosage because I was so low.

Second line Caelyx and bowel obstruction
Hello ladies, can anyone help me, I had second line Caelyx three weeks ago and ended up over the weekend in hospital with a bowel obstruction, luckily it pushed through itself as I was told it was inoperable, still not sure if it's scarring or tumour as scans seemingly are black and grey and not that

I’m posting this for a good friend of mine who had been struggling with his hormone health for years. He’s in a bad way and I’m trying to help as best I can becuase his doctors seem to be doing a very poor job. (Harley Steet doc) He seems to have both low testosterone issues and also thyroid. He suffers

Update on my husband-Hankwhy(Mike)
I am Mike’s wife Kim. It was important to him that I update as well as give thanks. Mike is currently in the hospital. His hemoglobin got down to a 4.9 in a short period of time, doing better each day. After two rounds of Xofigo he had to stop. Side affects were brutal, never quite got back to himself

Scared
Had breast cancer in 2010 with chino and radiotherapy, also a lumpectomy. Went recently about a sciatic nerve problem and ended up having scans which found I had metastatic cancer in my back. Have lost over a stone in weight through not eating. Very depressed and anxious. Nhs have given me the run

Extreme heart rates when at rest
Hello everyone, I’ll don’t think I can keep this short as there’s a lot going on, I’m not sure I’m in the right forum either, seeing I’m new to the group, but I’ve got a strange thing going on with what I think may be palpitations, but I’m not sure. I was diagnosed with Adrenal Insufficiency in February

Synacthen test result. Furious again!
Just rung up to chase the result of my synacthen test. The nurse had told me that she would ring next day if there was any problem, so after two weeks, I've been happily assuming that there was no issue. My GP now informs me that my results show adrenal insufficiency, presumably caused by long term prednisolone

Hydrocortisone and white cell count
Hi, I have been on hydrocortisone for about 5 months now perhaps, everything was going ok until the other day I got phone call saying my wbc was low. I’m not on anything else that would affect my wbc, has anyone else had this experience with hydrocortisone? Thank you I.x
