Hi,

I have been on hydrocortisone for about 5 months now perhaps, everything was going ok until the other day I got phone call saying my wbc was low. I’m not on anything else that would affect my wbc, has anyone else had this experience with hydrocortisone?

Thank you

I.x

I was prescribed hydroxychloriquine. It suits very many people and helps with their symptoms. However, my wbc and neutrophils count dropped significantly.

I stopped taking the med after 4 months and my wbc and neutrophils count normalised. If my symptoms returned with a vengeance, I would try hydroxychloriquine again as it helped with many symptoms.

See your rheumatologist and discuss your situation. Each of us differ in symptoms and our response to meds.

Take care. X
