Rash on legs, spreading to
I'm on Ramipril, Atorvastatin, esomprazole and 75mg aspirin. I've been taking these for 18 months since my MI. I stopped taking ticagrelor after 12 months. Anyway, 6 days ago, I started to get a rash on my legs which has gotten worse and worse and is now spreading to my belly. It's really itchy/uncomfortable

Adrenaline during asthma attacks
Anyone had this? How does it work? I had an adrenaline injection and the rest nebulised (along with hydrocortisone, magnesium, atrovent nebs, and salbutamol nebs) yesterday evening during a bad attack (silent parts of my chest again etc.). Not staying in any longer than needed being discharged today

Symptoms after starting NDT
Hi, I am pan hypopituitary, so have to take all pituitary replacement hormones, including. Hydrocortisone and thyroxine. I have been on thyroxine 100mg for 20 years and did ok, but in the last couple of years I’ve struggled with hypothyroid symptoms. My T4 is at the top of the normal range and my T3

Saying Hello
Dropping into say hello to all of our friends on this forum! I am sorry it has been so long since I have posted. Life is full, and days turn into weeks, then to months. Most of you know exactly what I mean. Mom is doing ok; she has plateaued for now. Swallowing is still an issue, including the fact

No More Balloons For Me
Hello Brothers, Just finished up 25 rounds of proton beam radiation, and gladly rang the bell at Mayo! I am feeling much better now, walking, and gaining my strength back. Since my tumor was attached to my rectum, they had to insert a balloon up my ass and inflate with water before each treatment

PCa symptom: Sweet Tooth?
Well, this is something that I did not expect. I have read up on prostate cancer and palliative care, and I prepared to see a loss of appetite in my dad. Wow was I wrong! He has gone the complete other way and it is hilarious. His craving for sweets is through the roof. It's only noon but so far he's

Waiting on test results is often the hardest part
My Jeff had labs and a palliative care appointment. We are still reeling from the brain mets diagnosis, but I’m grateful to report that his pain is still reasonably managed. I’m typically the most vocal in his palliative care appointments as I strongly advocate for Jeff. As we waited for the doctor,

A journey to come home
Around 3 weeks ago I put a post up asking for prayers. I want to thank you all for your thoughtful comments and keeping us in mind. I pray for you all daily. As an update, my dad is currently in palliative care at home. I wanted to provide a bit of back story on the situation - both the bad and good

My mother Irina
Hi all, My name is Roman and I'm from Melbourne Australia. I haven't posted much but have followed the forum since my mum being diagnosed with stage 3 high grade serious ovarian cancer in 2017. I think I've read every post since joining and feel as though I know many of the ladies on here. I can't tell

RASHES WITH RA
Hi, I managed to see the nurse at my GP practice yesterday. I am wondering if any one else on Methotrexate, has vascular dermatitis or vascular eczema on their lower legs and ankles. It comprises of tiny red spots which are very sore and follow the line of the tiny capillaries just under the skin

Cortisol question with severe hypo
Hi again, apologies for posting again so soon, trying to understand my own health puzzle ! I posted the other day about TSH of 11 and BELOW range T4 and T3. Have an endo appointment next week to discuss this. My Genova cortisol test has just come back and I'm surprised because everything looks pretty

Follow up care was NOT scheduled
Sooo … when I was looking at Jeff’s upcoming appointments, I was really concerned there was no sense of urgency in his follow up care for the brain metastasis. I couldn’t shake my concern and pleaded with Jeff to let me message his care team to find out why there was such a delay. Jeff finally consented
