Rash on legs, spreading to

I'm on Ramipril, Atorvastatin, esomprazole and 75mg aspirin. I've been taking these for 18 months since my MI. I stopped taking ticagrelor after 12 months.

Anyway, 6 days ago, I started to get a rash on my legs which has gotten worse and worse and is now spreading to my belly. It's really itchy/uncomfortable. I've been taking antihistamine, yesterday a pharmacist gave me hydrocortisone cream, I can't see a doctor for 2 weeks, and I'm on holiday next Saturday!

Any ideas folks?

Any indication from GP as what it is?

Not sure, believes it's an allergic reaction. Given antibiotics for 6 days, said it should clear up then.

There is a problem called Stevens-Johnson Syndrome, I had this earlier this year, apparently it’s very rare. I’m mentioning it as the hospital failed to diagnose it and treat appropriately. It started as a rash, first thought to be Chicken Pox, then as it got worse, Shingles then I became very ill with SJS. As I say, it’s rare but it happens. Hopefully your rash is just some sort of allergy but I just wish I’d known SJS existed so I’d have been aware of what was happening and insisted on the right treatment. Good luckX

I take Ramipril and have an identical rash on my legs. Last summer my dose was increased to 10mg/day and since then the rash has got worse. I used hydrocortisone daily, sometimes twice, for many months to keep the rash at bay. I was concerned about the side effects of that cream (because it’s a steroid) so I switched to a thick Nivea skin cream at the end of last year. I have to apply it to my legs morning and night but it works and my legs have since healed. If I stop using it the rash comes back though.
