Dropping into say hello to all of our friends on this forum! I am sorry it has been so long since I have posted. Life is full, and days turn into weeks, then to months. Most of you know exactly what I mean.
Mom is doing ok; she has plateaued for now. Swallowing is still an issue, including the fact that I had to call 911 for the first time in my life last week. Hospice / Palliative Care is in place, and at the moments following the call -- I felt like I panicked to quickly. Now, I am okay with calling, and have gratitude for those that played a part in caring for her. Whew! Scary moments watching her choke.
She is sleeping alot, but what I love the most -- as you can see in the photo below -- she always alway always has a smile to share!
Hugs to you all!
Love, Kim & Marlene (Momma)

Hi Helen - How are you doing? I’m sorry to hear about the lack of expression —- I will say Mom has days that can very different - just doing our best! Hugs to you!!
Hi Kim, this is such a heart warming photo. Your mum’s smile is so amazing. Hope the choking episodes are few and far between. They can be very frightening. Take care.
Hi there!! I hope you are well! We are hanging in there. Swallowing is an issue on the daily, and we continue to make adjustments. Keep moving forward. ((Hugs to you my friend))
Your Mum’s smiles are so very inspiring. I have never smiled a lot, but now, 6 years(ałmost) since diagnosis' I rarely smile at all. Seeing your photos has made me realise that I must, for the sake of others, try to appear more cheerful. Thank You and your lovely Mum!
Awww 🥰I will say, that Mom doesn’t smile until I encourage her. Although we laugh a lot, and she responds to me — but, her resting face is blank most of the time. ((Hugs))
