Feeling terrible and need advice on dose to go back up to
Hi my fellow PMR people. I know I have been remiss in sharing my story, and I've been thinking I will sit down and do that soon so anyone with the weird side effects I have had won't feel so weird :-). In the meantime, I have a taper problem and need your input please. I'll give you a nutshell version

Does depo provera contraception injection actually help with someone who has endometriosis/ helping pain?
I have been struggling with constant pain in my stomach and feeling nauseous for the past year every single day all day. My Gp’s at my doctors surgery haven’t helped me at all, they have only been doing the same two tests ( blood tests and ultrasounds) which both came up with nothing. After a whole year

Hi all, I'm UCTD, and for about five years, I've been a full dose (2 x daily) of hydroxychloroquine. I've been having a flair more or less since lock-down started. Normally when this happens, I get a Depo-Medrone injection (methylprednisolonen), which settles me down anywhere from a few months to a couple

Depo Provera
Good morning, I was simply wondering if I could ask others experience of Depo Provera injections? It’s my last option before another surgery to hopefully reduce my ongoing pain. What side effects are commonly experienced? Thank you so very kindly! E x

Calendar blanks for tapering, if needed.
This may be old news to many but just in case~~ https://print-a-calendar.com/may-2020 You can advance and print whatever months you want. This is a link where you can print out blank calendar pages, which I definitely need to know how much Medrol to take when now that I'm doing the slooooooow taper~

Anyone having injections of Depo-Medrone instead of taking prednisolone orally to manage symptoms of PMR?
Anyone having injections of depo-Medrone instead of taking prednisolone by mouth for PMR symptoms? If so, do you prefer this method? How does it work?

Update on me and who I am: My name is Courtney and I am currently 18 years old, I made a decision a few years ago to keep myself protected, and that decision was to go on the Depo-Provera contraceptive injection and I’ll tell you what it worked, really well. I was protected for the entire time I was

Neurostimulator device for overactive bladder
My daughter was diagnosed with overactive bladder. It's an issue she's been struggling with for several years. She's tried several medications, including Detrol, but has not had much luck. Her urologist has suggested surgery for something called a neurostimulating device that's implanted in her lower

Switching from Depo-Provera to Progestogen only pill
Hi, I'm new here and I need help. Recently, I've been put on the POP as I am unable to see my nurse for my injection until this pandemic is over. What is the likelihood of getting pregnant while on the pill? Thank you

Low Calcium & Testosterone from Depo Provera shot?
Hello, I've been on the Depo Provera shot for over a year to control my Endometriosis and Migraines. I recently had a private blood test by Blue Horizon and it shows I have low Calcium and really low Testosterone. I've spoken to a digital GP who advised low Testosterone is one of the side effects

Unable to have Depo Provera- lockdown

Curly hair?
Right now, my memory is not my strong suit~~~but I think I have been on Actemra injections weekly for about three months for GCA, along with Medrol. My hair has gotten a bit thinner, not too bad, but quite curly, ringlets. I was just curious if anyone else had experienced this? Finally, yesterday I

Bruising
I have found 3 bruises ( 2 large) have appeared in the last 3 days without any recollection of any accident. I am on Hydroxychloroquine and Benepali. I did have an issue with easy bruising ( and very slow healing) which started when I had a depo medrone jab. It continued for the 6 months I was on Methotrexate

Newly diagnosed after years of problems
Hi, everyone. I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and share my story. I was diagnosed with FND just a few months ago after years of neurological problems. They first started in 2006 with pain, mostly in my back, then I started having bladder problems, a foot drop on the right, mild muscle

Has anyone out there developed eczema out of the blue while dealing with PMR?
My second depo-medrone injection was Wednesday. Thursday morning I woke with a very itchy back, so bad I went straight to my GP. GP looked and said I had eczema. I have never had any skin conditions in all my long life. One more unbearable burden to deal with in an unbearable situation. Quite depressed
