DBS adjustment/migraine
I had my
DBS
adjusted today. Now I'm battling a migraine. Unlike typical migraine onset, this one started within an hour of the adjustment. Nausea with vomiting came on fast too. Does anyone else experience this? This is the 3rd time it's happened to me.

Reducing madopar
I did chat to a PD nurse but she would only talk about
DBS
which I don't want. A couple of days ago I decided to try to lower my intake of madopar as the constant swooping on and off is exhausting and I was also worried that the mood swings were becoming so severe I wasn't able to function .

DBS for PwP who have low tremor. Request for others to share experience. Impact of lower frequencies.
I had my
DBS
a year ago. I was diagnosed with PD in 2007, coming up to 9 years ago, I am now 67. Recently, just a few weeks ago, following my participation in an experiment on
DBS
frequencies, I asked for the
DBS
pulse rate to be dropped from the normal 130 to 80 pulses per minute.

Is it just me?
He had me on the Sinemet for over a year before he approached me with
DBS
. Therefore I am not knowledgeable on the drugs out there or the drugs for PD that everyone else seems so knowledgeable about.

So I went in for a
DBS
, it is not an easy operation , put it has completly changed my life. I went from taking pills every two hours to maintain to only 4 times a day. I hope that this will help those of you that are on the fence about
DBS

Unhealthy food and weight loss
I'm eating under 1500 calories but not necessarily healthy . For exzample today I have had bran flakes and sausage roll and chocolate muffin then bran flakes for tea again . Will I still loose weight or does it have to be healthy food ?

Imipramine and restless leg syndrome
I have been taking imipramine for quite a few years now. It doesn't seem as effective as it did when I first started taking it. Does anyone else take imipramine for Rls? My mum suffers also but she has been prescribed gabapentin.

Hi. looking for some advice as I am quite new to B12 issues. I have stopped taking B12 supplements as GP wants me to stay off for a few months so he can test for PA. Before, I started the B12, I was very constipated and bloated. I started having a high bran for breakfast about the same time as taking

Rytary for DBS
I'd like to know if anyone who had a successful
DBS
is using Rytary. I have not found any indication that it has been tested in
DBS
patients. Any info about that would be appreciated.

NEUPRO PATCH+ ROPINIROLE AND FALLING DOWN MORE
He has had
DBS
surgery in 2007 and just had batteries replaced for the 2nd time 2 weeks ago. I am at a loss as to how to help him, for up to this point he has stayed basically active, but the new doc says "maybe he should stay home more"" at his age and how long he has had PD.

Does anyone know why Lactulose is not recommended for IBS sufferers?
Hi, I've just been reading the NICE guidelines for IBS and came across this: "Laxatives should be considered for the treatment of constipation in people with IBS, but people should be discouraged from taking lactulose. [2008]" Does anyone know why this is? The reason I ask is I've suffered from chronic
