Does anyone suffer from upper back pain with IBS?
Along with IBS I have constant stiffness between my shoulder blades.. I told the doctor and he tested my liver and gallbladder.. guess that is a cue for something more seriou; however, that came out normal.. I am just curious if any of you experience upper or lower back discomfort along with your GI

Anyone else been prescribed Co-beneldopa for RSL?
Hi all, I hope you are all as well as can be. As per the thread title has anyone else been prescribed Co-beneldopa for RLS, as I have just been. I have been trying to get by without extra meds, as I take enough for my fibromyalgia & other things, but it was proving to be a fight I couldn't win so after

Hi everyone. I went to see my neurologist on Wednesday . I explained the problems I have been having with my foot . he said it was dystonic dyskinesias . I have been referred to one of his colleagues at the institute of neurology in London . in the meantime my levadopa use has been reduced to 50 mg

I had
DBS
surgery a year ago and tomorrow I am going to travel by plane. I am concerned if there is any problem going through security.

My husband has ringing in the ears. Has had DBS for over a year now. It seems to get worse when Dr. changes settings. Anyone else?
His E.N.T. also said it is due to
DBS
. His neurologist said no and then changed his answer to yes it could be. Still can't figure out what to do to help my husband get rid of ringing. Any helpful advice?

Can the physical presence of electrodes from DBS have any effect, even if turned off?
I've had
DBS
turned off and batteries removed because of infection. It remains to be seen if it gets completely removed or tried again once when all possible signs of infection are gone.

DBS! STN vs. PPN
I understand that
DBS
in the STN helps with resting tremors. My husband does not having resting tremors, (therefore
DBS
in the STN is not recommended) more issues related to rigidity, balance, and gait.

Neck & midline "tremors" developed after DBS for Parkinson's disease.
Before
DBS
, I would often get severe spasm/dystonia in the back of my neck causing my head to tilt back extremely. This "tremor" doesn't feel like the typical resting tremor of PD because it doesn't go away with simple head & neck movements.

Is there anyone with DBS taking Madopar or Sinemet and then added Azilect?
He has
DBS
and on Madopar several times a day. His
DBS
specialist prescribed him Azilect, several months ago, which he took for about one week, but stopped because he perceived no benefit.

What procedure have you used to turn down your DBS stimulator?
I think my stimulator may be turned up too high because I started having some new type of dystonia after beginning lifting weights. What is the best way to make sure you have the right amount of stimulator amplitude or pulse width for therapeutic benefit?

I was evaluated for DBS surgery last week. The doctor said I was not the best candidate because I don' respond to leva dopa well.
He also said the surgery was the best he could offer me. He said "perhaps" it would help with the dyskensia and dystonia I have. If it did I might need less medication and my speech would improve. ( leva dopa causes me to have a severe stammering and stuttering problem.). Either way, whether I have
