Lactulose Sickness ?
Hi. Just wondered if anyone else has started being sick after taking lactulose. Terry has been taking it for months but lately even after a small sip he starts retching & then is sick. He also takes Laxido so am wondering if he could leave the Lactulose for a while. Any help is much appreciated.xx

Are gut bacteria the answer?
It makes sense and offers so much hope and is so less invasive and potentially hazardous than the
DBS
/apo pump/stem cell route which is offered at the moment.

Primary sclerosing cholangitis
I have Lupus and PSC which is a rare disease of the bile ducts. My specialist states I will soon get colitis and then I can be put on a trial drug. My gut is telling me that my lupus is attacking my bile ducts and maybe I should be on a lupus drug not waiting for a bowel drug? Anyone else have PSC?

Just beginning Rytary
My husband was diagnosed with PD 8 years ago. He was experiencing severe cramping which would incapacitate him at times. We went to a new doctor today hoping to find out about deep brain stimulation. While we're waiting for all the "boxes" to be checked for the surgery, my husband will begin taking

possible PD medication side effects?
He also had
DBS
, that didn't work! they cant find the right combination of numbers to help decrease his meds usage. Ever since he started on PD meds he developed a rash on his lower legs that blister. Anyone else deveop a rash? We think it's a side effect from his meds.

Percutaneous Transhepatic Cholangiogram
Hi All, It looks like mums Carbo/Caelyx treatment has not been working and she has a blockage in her bile duct from her liver where the disease has progressed. They tried to put a stent in the bile duct today but it was unsuccessful therefore they are doing a Percutaneous Transhepatic. Cholangiogram

Botox for salivary glands
We are also planning on seeing a movement disorder clinic about the possibility of
DBS
, and had heard that that can also help with swallowing and excessive salivation as well.

Have you considered DBS? It is recommended for people with midstage PD who for whom meds are no longer working well!
There are surgeons around that can do
DBS
on you when you are asleep (I found one) so don't be misled. Ask a Movement Disorder Specialist today! !
DBS
reliably reduces or eliminates tremor and dyskenesia.

Brain implants or standard DBS

DBS?
I am hoping to get the OK for
DBS
surgery soon. Would love to hear from anyone who has had this done. Good or bad, I need to know.

DBS adjustment/migraine
I had my
DBS
adjusted today. Now I'm battling a migraine. Unlike typical migraine onset, this one started within an hour of the adjustment. Nausea with vomiting came on fast too. Does anyone else experience this? This is the 3rd time it's happened to me.
