Blue Horizon Results
Hi all - I've had nothing but great advice from this forum so, after getting these results from BH I wonder if you can look at them for me please. Does the high antibodies always mean Hashimoto's? Should I be concerned about the high Ferritin? I was supplementing B12 which probably explains the high

Neutrophil-to-Lymphocyte ratio [NLR] & Abiraterone.
New Japanese study below. I reviewed the NLR-PCa literature as of a year ago in: "Inflammation. [1] Neutrophil-to-Lymphocyte Ratio [NLR]". Basically, as with other markers of inflammation, the NLR is predictive of survival, regardless of type of treatment. I believe that, while cancer creates the inflammatory

Help with my lab results
Hi guys, Last year I got severe Alopecia areata and while getting tested discovered I have hashimotos. I am really hesitant to go back to my endo because she didn't actually tell me I had hashimotos- I had to read it in a referral letter I peeked at to my GP. I found this to be quite a shocking failure

Hi all. Today i have been discharged from the hospital as i refuse to take statins. I was blatantly told that their job is to prescribe medication and if i refuse to take it, they will refer me back to my gp who can monitor my cholesterol via blood tests. Fair enough but before they completely remove

Nutrician - Dietetics appointment
I thought I would share about what I thought was a very good appointment with a Dietician (UK hospital). This was booked 3 months ago by Gastroenterologist when he thought raised ESR and sudden, significant weight loss might have been caused by liver cancer. That proved not the case and PMR suggested

Good morning all - hope that where ever you are the weather isn't causing you too many problems. After a few months of feeling well on 100mcg Levo, B12, Selenium, Ferrous Fumerate, Vit C as well as being strictly Gluten Free for 6 months I have begun to feel pretty yucky again so have had a blood test

Hi everyone,
Hi everyone, great to find this supportive and informative forum! I'm starting Maviret in 2 weeks time. Could be up to 16 weeks as I have type 3a and have had treatment before. (Although I'm hoping for the 8 treatment). I'm waiting to find out if I'll be taking riberveron too. I've had the virus for

Reviewing vitamin & mineral combinations.
Good Afternoon everyone I hope the snow isn't causing anyone too much trouble, although I do love it myself. I wonder if anyone could cast their eyes over my regime & see if it looks okay. As some of my stocks come to an end I'll be replacing with better brands/combinations. Breakfast 7.30-8am:-

Cardiovascular side effects of Lupron?
I have had premature ventricular contractions show on stress EKG's for 40 years; doctors said "harmless". When RP failed after 7 years, I started Lupron 2 months ago on top of vitamin C and alpha Lipoic acid infusions, and many supplements. There was a period when pulse rate fell in 40's, but now back

Is my gluten free diet making any difference?
Hi all. I went on a strict gluten free diet on 30 October 2017 and I’ve just had my most recent results back. They look quite different than before, but not sure if it’s 1) an improvement, and 2) if this change is due to being GF. I did also start supplementing (Vit B Complex, Vit D, Selenium) before

Gluten intolerance?
Hi all, I am a 27 year old male who recently went travelling in south east Asia. After 3 months I had to return home after being sure I was dying out there. Having seen my GP I have had all the blood tests done for the relevant diseases as well as normal blood counts but nothing seems to be showing

Autogirl
Just read an old post by Autogirl about her condition(s): Hashimoto, Coeliac .... she wrote exactly the symptoms that I have been having for the last 3-5 years. I realise that if I had not taken into hand my own health I would weigh 20 kgs more, be permanently tired, dry eyes, insomniac, arthritic, depressed
