Hyperthyroidism help please

Hi I was disgnosed over two weeks ago, still waiting to see endocrinologist. I'm on 30mg of carbimazole a day. Can anybody anwer about supplements and foods please?

I take vitamin d3 a vit k2-7, calcium, zinc, magnesium, b vits, and evening primrose oil, do I need to take Selenium? And vitamin c - which form of vitamin c is best? I have the effervescent ones but not sure if these are ok to take (they don't have aspartame in).

Then with food, do I need to avoid anything like eggs, milk, orange juice, white bread, chocolate? I have read conflicting advice online!

My fathers brothers have autoimmune diseases but no one else...

It must be graves as my eyes are very dry and red and have had problems for the last 4 years with several conditions.

Avoid grapefruit! It interferes with our meds and vits. Such a shame bc it is my favorite food!! I do avoid gluten, bc Thyroid is an auto-immune disease and so is Celiac. So I do not want to eat any additional inflammatory foods. Since our stomach/gut maintains our health, I find eating GF has been a life changer for me!!!
