Iodine salt pipe
Hi, I've just read about the issue with iodine and hypothyroidism. So I'm waiting for more tests but initial ones indicate central hypothyroidism and apart from weight gain, I have a lot of symptoms. Thinking I may have covid 19 in the spring, I followed advice on Dr Myhills website about iodine inhalation

The Dr is going to give it a try! Started Synthroid yesterday!
Hi everybody, I’m new here and I posted 3 weeks ago saying that my dr didn’t want to give me Synthroid, but now he will! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Long story long, I was diagnosed with Hashimoto 15 years ago when I was 27 and never did anything about it. After reading a LOT here I realize that I’m not feeling good

Nutrition - What do I eat ? Well -You are what you eat !
This question keeps coming up every now and then ! So I decided to come out with this post for reference of all members. Nutrition is a simple subject though we human beings have made it complex... We eat food to live ...but the type of food we eat varies depending upon our traditions, Religion, Culture

Vitamins?
Hi fountains of much acquired wisdom, My RA is fairly stable at the moment and I am only on 10mg Methotrexate Weekly. A podiatrist recently commented on my very thin toe nails and recommended Vitamin B. I looked into it and others say Vitamin C. I take a Vitamin D every day and mega fish oil pills

Low ferritin low hemoglobin celiac three years ?
I have posted before but at my wits end. I was diagnosed celiac three years ago due to very low ferritin and hemoglobin. I began gluten free diet and iron supplements and my levels were back to normal. Dr took me off iron and I continued gluten free. Past labs have shown a steady decline in my hemoglobin

Medicheck blood test results
I’ve just received these results, I had a private test as my endocrinology nurse informed me that consultant would be reluctant to order tests for vitamin level. I’m awaiting a response from my GP, any input from the members would be very welcome. hs-CRP 3.30 <5.0 Ferritin 300.0

Don’t give up on IRON!
I suffered from RLS for years until I started taking daily “gentle iron” and vitamin C. I have been RLS free now for three months. However, I was away from home last week and out of my usual routine. I forgot to take my iron/vit C combo at night for maybe three nights, when at 2am I got that old familiar

Diabetes & Insulin Resistant - Are you Insulin resistant ?
Diabetes is not just an issue of blood sugar , it is a complex metabolic disorder causing a host of complications. If we understand it well, we can have a better control and even we may be able to reverse it if we treat it holistically with change in various aspects of our life style... Insulin Resistance

Kids of today, know how to let their girlfriends down lightly🙂

Feeling foolish and despondent
Morning everyone, Hope you all well. I’d be grateful if you knowledgeable people would be kind enough to educate me. I’ve just come back from the GPs and had my vitamin B12 injection. I had a discussion with the practitioner regarding my poor tolerance of the ferrous fumarate that’s been prescribed

C reactive protein high
Had my bloodwork done and the nurse called saying my c reactive protein has gone up to 17mg l. Which is unusually high for me in comparison to my past. She said we won’t worry about it now. But have your bloodwork done again in 3 month’s. Hmm. Any thoughts???
