When should you consider ablation?
I watched the last AFA seminar about
cryoablation
, very interesting. When should you consider having an ablation, as I understand it and I may be wrong, the longer you suffer atrial fibrillation, can cause more problems for the heart, enlargement etc and ablation is more unlikely to work.

Cryoablation
Writing again to ask anyone if they are free of flips and afib after ablation. And how long did their recovery take. Just for peace of mind. Thanks

cryoablation
It is going on about 4 months since procedure. For a couple of days my occasional flips were feeling like they were getting faint if that makes any sense. But today my heart wanted to try to go into afib. This happens after I eat. Only for a few seconds but enough to put me right back into being anxious

Alarming new symptom.
Briefly, I had a
cryoablation
last March. Since then my eps of af have mostly settled but I do still get it maybe once a month. Recently I have experienced near-fainting with the af. That’s new, and scary. Of course I have googled it and wished I hadn’t!

I recently posted about sore joints. I did some digging on the Eliquis I'm tacking. Ever since I started taking it my joints are getting sore. I think this is my problem. The side effects of strong blood thinners can have this effect. My Dr doesn't want me to stop because I still have heart flips after

Update on Cryoablation 3 weeks ago.
After being extremely nervous about the ablation I finally had it done and it really wasn't that big a deal. I was totally knocked out so do not remember anything and felt fine when I woke up. The next day I noticed my neck and chest/stomach area felt just a little sore, almost like I did too many sit-ups

Post-ablation chesty cough
Had bit of a chesty/asthmatic cough since
cryoablation
just over a week ago. Have been awaiting improvement, but none yet. Anaesthetist said beforehand that a few get pneumonia due to Trans Oesophageal ECG thingy.

Cryoablation
So last night I had to go to the hospital for a CT scan of my heart to make sure that there was no aortic tear. There was not. I posted that I had pain between my shoulder blades and my dr was concerned. I also had my thyroid tested and it was fine. I have a bad history of acid reflux so this was the

This is a new development since my procedure. Has anyone had pain between shoulder blades? my back ribs feel sore to touch and it feels like I strained my muscles. My husband keeps telling me that I should exercise and when I do too much ,I get so wiped out. I tried a heating pad but that doesn't seem

Today is exactly 3 months after procedure. Still feel tired and have flips. Asked Dr. if I could wean off Eliquist but he said no because I still have flips. I try a little each day to build up energy but I get tired so quickly. Has anybody been this way?

Next Tuesday will be 3 months after
cryoablation
. I know from posting my problems and getting wonderful answers from all of you that you can have some flipps. But I have them every day! I try to dismiss them but it is very difficult. My heart tries very hard to go into Afib.

Cryoablation
I don't know if this is relevant to my
cryoablation
but back in 1995 I had right shoulder surgery for a torn rotate r cuff. My shoulder has been killing me again and also been having pain in my heart. What the heck! Seems like all my old problems are resurfacing. Can this be related somehow?

Almost at 10 weeks after cryo for afib. Wondering when these flips will cease. 2 days ago I had a day with hardly anything which was wonderful. But just when you think you got it made.. wham! I just pray that this will soon go away for good.

Well I thought things were getting slightly better yesterday but no way! This is weird but when I'm sleeping I dream that my heart flips and I can actually feel it doing that and I wake up and have to take a metoprolol. This has happened before and I don,t sleep well. Today the flips are back...so disappointing

Well the 18th of this month will be 2 months after procedure. Not doing good these days. From my other posts you could see the problems I have been having. I don't seem to be making any progress in feeling better. I addressed my stomach issue with protonix but feel bad in other ways from it. Today I'm

Happy New Year
Just would like to tell you that it has been one year and three months since I had my
cryoablation
and I am pleased to tell you that I have been AF-free since. I have also had my 2 shots of AZ covid-19 vaccine and am now awaiting my booster shot.

Follow Up - (Post Ablation Travel)
Well, I had a
cryoablation
which took about four hours. At the end of the procedure the EP indicated that based on my Physiology and health he estimated my success rate was in the 80 percentile. Not sure how accurate that is but I'll take it.
