This is a new development since my procedure. Has anyone had pain between shoulder blades? my back ribs feel sore to touch and it feels like I strained my muscles. My husband keeps telling me that I should exercise and when I do too much ,I get so wiped out. I tried a heating pad but that doesn't seem to help. Is this part of healing or did I pull something? I'm so tired of sitting and being bored.

To be honest this is not something I would expect at this late stage (and I compiled the fact sheet) Best speak to your doctor. if this is a new thing.

It could be that you are sitting too much. I had third ablation two weeks ago and my upper back is killing me , too much hunching over reading, knitting, computering etc.Once my groin was better I started gentle back movements to loosen it up which helped a bit.

If it's very painful and you are coughing and struggling to breath you need medical care. If not sure, call the arrythmia nurses they are brilliant and used to our paranoid questions. Hope you feel better soon x

My first (cryo) ablation, I had an achy feeling from front chest to my back, between the shoulder blades. I figured it was just part of the healing process and it went away.

How long did all that last?

I believe it lasted about a week, and it really wasn't a big deal.

Hi there, about two-three weeks after my ablation I started suffering with significant pain between my spine and my left shoulder blade. In fact the pain was worse on the outside of left left shoulder blade just below my shoulder. I also felt random spasms and pain in my left bicep and forearm. Sort of burning sensations. Was very worrying! Of course with the arm being involved I feared a stroke etc. And I couldn’t find anyone with this experience. Long story short, I eventually went to a physio who worked on the muscle and nerves/joint ( look up facet joints and nerves on Google) and after three sessions I felt a massive improvement and two weeks later the pain was just about gone.

I was curious about whether this could have been because of the 4 immobile hours in the table but the physio said he doubted it (given the time elapsed) and said it was probably a combination of stress, tension, poor posture and limited free movement.

Hopefully yours is as easily fixed.

All the best.

Thanks. I am seeing a therapist for my right shoulder but I still have pain in left elbow and in my back at my ribs. This is horrible. Feels like I'm bruised.
