Then all fine until January when a scan showed another tiny mass where the kidney had been so booked in for another cryoablation My worry is that a scan showed a very small mass on the remaining kidney and the doctors want to do a laporoscopic biopsy on the same day as the cryoablation.

I’ve just found out that my ablation will be done by freezing with sedation as opposed to a general anaesthetic and the consultant explained it may be quite uncomfortable for a few minutes. I met with my interventional radiologist today to go over the procedure. When discussing the possible side effects he brought up a chance of pneumothorax. He also told me that although he's performed many cryo procedures, he's never treated a rib. The thought of a collapsed lung makes me a bit nervous

My RO stated that the risks associated with retreating it with radiation was high, so he recommended I consider cryoablation. I didn't even know that was possible on mets. Has this option been around for long? Is it usually successful? Is there much pain associated with it?

So today's the big day - about to go in to hospital for my cryoablation. Feeling reasonably relaxed about it and hopefully that it works well for me. Got a week booked off work and my wife will be doing all the school runs next week so can take it easy. Fingers crossed that it is a good recovery.

Had a review today with my EP who did a first cryoablation on me last year. The AF side seems to have responded well but Flutter has taken over and currently persistent. I'm now on his list for a second ablation to sort this out, he's very positive about a good outcome.

Feeling rather demoralised at the moment. 8 weeks post cryoablation now. Initial recovery went well. Was tired but nothing too bad. Since week 3 feel like I have been having a lot more ectopics than usual.

I had cryoablation on March'24. Since my ablation (3months post) I take no meds whatsover.

I just would like you to know that I have been well generally although i have had other health issues besides AF since I did my cryoablation in 2020. I had since got my gallbladder removed, diagnosis with diverticulitis and have been to ER and hospitalised a few times because of the latter.

A recent biopsy revealed a Gleason 4+3 with PNI and I have scheduled focal salvage cryoablation at Duke Cancer Center on December 11. This is a recurring cancer following primary radiation 10 years ago.

Cryoablation last November. So far so good, apart from one 2.5 hour AF episode 3 months ago, which stopped on its own. I have been advised by the cardiologist NOT to take a PIP flecanide (or anything else) if I get AF in future because my resting HR is very low normally (below 50).

Cryoablation in march'24. No afib since dec'23, but I developed a health/cardiac anxiety since and struggle with it for more then a year now. Some weeks everything is alright and some not. Lately it's getting more frequent with anxiety days.

First was for atrial flutter which I consider successful, second was PVI cryoablation, and this third was to check the PVI and to go after afib in the right atrium. I must say that immediately after the ablation I felt much worse, far more afib than prior to the procedure.

The dilemma.......well, I feel if the RO cannot successfully treat that one node fully, then maybe I should seek to have the node removed surgically or thru cryoablation. Has any of you went down this road? If so, any recommendations for doctors that perform these in the New York/Philly area?

I was offered a Cryoablation earlier in the year which I declined, I am now booked in for a Pulsed Field Ablation on the 12th of November. Procedure is about 1 hour and is very safe in comparison to RF or Cryo ablations.
