So last night I had to go to the hospital for a CT scan of my heart to make sure that there was no aortic tear. There was not. I posted that I had pain between my shoulder blades and my dr was concerned. I also had my thyroid tested and it was fine. I have a bad history of acid reflux so this was the problem. Since the ablation, my reflux is much worse and now I question the thought that the Dr who did my ablation got a little too close to my esophagus and maybe caused damaged. Can't seem to catch a break. Still have flipps after I eat too.

I have acid reflux and had a similar issue. I had extreme burning in chest:esophagus area. Had the scan and no hole, thank God. The hospital did prescribe liquid Carafate, which helped significantly. Took a few days to really kick in. Good luck!
My EP puts you on a month of acid reflux medication after ablation as so many people have problems with this. If they did a scan they should have been able to see if there was any damage though sometimes the inflammation caused in the area can be enough to cause these problems so I have been told. This should eventually pass as you get back to normal activity.
Hope everything goes well for you.
