Cryoablation

Next Tuesday will be 3 months after cryoablation. I know from posting my problems and getting wonderful answers from all of you that you can have some flipps. But I have them every day! I try to dismiss them but it is very difficult. My heart tries very hard to go into Afib. Would just like some peace.

And hopefully peace will come. You say your heart tries very hard to go into AF but I assume it’s not. Take encouragement (wanted to say heart) from that.

Your heart has been burned, by ice or fire doesn’t matter, it will be inflamed, your whole system will be in shock and is trying to recover and on top of that you are worrying causing more stress. I know it’s really difficult to not worry and you want to feel well but only time will tell and those feelings lasted 9 months for me but eventually went away.

You should be coming up for your post ablation consult so see what your doctors say.

Best wishes CD

Hello. I have seen my doc about 2 weeks ago and he said that nothing is ever sure and that I should be better by now. (what a jerk!) He never even told me about the blanking period. When I confronted him with that question, he looked at me like a deer in headlights. Thank You for your encouragement CD it really helps.

I had my ablation 7 weeks ago and was virtually in Afib every day continuously. Then at about 5 weeks when I ate anything my HR went up to 150 plumetting to 55 then up I kept the advice of the cardiac nurse in my head and didn’t panic even though folks around me did. Yesterday I woke up in sinus rythem and am still in it today. I really got you when you said that your heart is fighting to get into NSR . I felt that too kept calm and let the healing happen. I now do believe it really does take time up to 9 months. My sister had a cryo ablation and it took her 7 months to have a sense of healing. I had the fire ablation and I know that three months is the beginning of healing. I do believe my heart is still inflamed and body is still in shock. Take heart and good luck
