Hello, everyone This month in our ‘Health in Focus’ posts, we’ll be looking at some of the different kinds of support available if you or a loved one are affected by ovarian cancer. We’ll explore how you can access them and some points to consider when thinking about what would suit you and be helpful

2WW, first FET after miscarriage, anxiety, time off work
This is my first ever forum post and although I've been a long voyeur of reading comments on IVF forums I've never posted but I'm going crazy and I suppose I am looking for solace in shared experiences. I'm off work atm as I just had a meltdown on the eve of my most recent FET, I am now 7dpt and I realise

First ask for this: ZALKYA (The only Pill For endo - available in UK since Feb 2020)
Hello my fellow endo sufferers, For the last 6 years I have struggled with Endo. Well obviously at first I thought I was going crazy and dying of something. Finally after my lovely doc had some training she asked me to go see the endo nurse, who booked me in immediately. So, how did they know I had

Parental Guilt of Embryos
Hi guys, I haven't posted for a while. I have had 3 FET's two of which ended in early miscarriages and one just failed. After a lot of counselling and my husband and I went back to the IVF clinic on 12th March to get ready for our next transfer, like thousands of others our treatment was cancelled because

Can anxiety create real physical symptoms
So I’ve had a lot on my plate this past year. My Dad passed away suddenly in January when I was 6 months pregnant with my first baby. He had silent coronary heart disease and it just happened one random day. I still haven’t processed this or been able to grieve for him. I can hardly cry about it 10 months

Fluxovamine Maleate / Hydroxyzine
My doctor recently prescribed me with fluxovamine maleate...and I just wanna know if anyone's been on this before? I'm only taking half a tablet and they did warn me they it might take 2-3 weeks for the medication to fully take effect. I know that medicines aren't exactly miracle pills, but I just wanna

So depressed
I feel so depressed right now. Very low mornings are not getting any better. I had another counseling session yesterday but it's not really made me feel much better. Digging up the past just seems to be making things worse. I don't know. My GP has referred me back to MH but it will be a few weeks before

Work and anxiety...
Just need to offload I suppose. Sorry for another rant. Its starting to turn into the norm for me and I'm sorry. I have worked for my employer (a massive gov related org) for 15 years, I work hard and don't take the mick. I had a few weeks off in Sept and Oct as my anxiety was really bad and it would

Decompensated liver
I was diagnosed with decompensated liver disease in February this year after 20 years of alcoholism. I had developed ascites and was admitted to hospital with liver failure. I was told 50% of my liver was scarred, but I had caught it in time,my prescription was abstinence. I freaked out, carried on drinking

Lost a lifetime friend
I have had a lifetime best friend for over 40 years. My situation is not that my friend has passed away, but in the last few years, she has suffered undiagnosed issues with mental health and accused me of never being there for her, abandoning her etc.,. Her therapist had told her that she wasn't being

Suffering with PTSD
When my wife was killed I suffered from flashbacks, sounds and intrusive thoughts that meant i couldnt function. Honestly I wouldnt wish it on my worst enemy. I opted for some trauma counselling which i often say was one of the wisest decisions I have ever made. The counselling was extremely hard but

Follow up consultation - really bad!
So just had our follow up consultation and we were basically told that we should not do any more IVF/ICSI with our own eggs and sperm as there would be little chance of it working. Basically during the last cycle they could see my eggs were really poor quality and fragmented and also the sperm didn't

Defeated thoughts & some questions
So, I joined this group about a month or so ago and this is my first time posting. First I want to say that I appreciate having a place to even just read the other posts and know that I am not alone in how I feel. I was not diagnosed with ADHD until just within the past 9 years and I am almost 50. This

New Here
I'm new and joined because I haven't been able to find a support group and I'm really struggling w/ being a single mom of a son w/ ADHD in this pandemic. He was just diagnosed in May (albeit through telehealth which was much less than ideal.) He is not on meds and shows lots of emotional regulation difficulties

Seeking Solace and inner peace
I write to say that this is a wonderful site for those who need support but it is equally to important to be mindful of the needs of others . I realise I have mental health issues and I am in the process of seeking help from a course of Psychotherapy Counselling I am learning that each and every one

Gynae suggested Lap, worried it isnt endo, and will waste their time. Would really appreciate advice.
Hey All, I'm so sorry this is long... On Friday I had my first appointment with the Gynaecologist. To give a quick background into my symptoms this is how it has been... Years of pelvic problems, investigated for bowel issues with sigmoidoscopy and CT colonography as I had a bout of rectal bleeding
