Lost a lifetime friend
I have had a lifetime best friend for over 40 years. My situation is not that my friend has passed away, but in the last few years, she has suffered undiagnosed issues with mental health and accused me of never being there for her, abandoning her etc.,. Her therapist had told her that she wasn't being

Suffering with PTSD
When my wife was killed I suffered from flashbacks, sounds and intrusive thoughts that meant i couldnt function. Honestly I wouldnt wish it on my worst enemy. I opted for some trauma counselling which i often say was one of the wisest decisions I have ever made. The counselling was extremely hard but

Follow up consultation - really bad!
So just had our follow up consultation and we were basically told that we should not do any more IVF/ICSI with our own eggs and sperm as there would be little chance of it working. Basically during the last cycle they could see my eggs were really poor quality and fragmented and also the sperm didn't

Defeated thoughts & some questions
So, I joined this group about a month or so ago and this is my first time posting. First I want to say that I appreciate having a place to even just read the other posts and know that I am not alone in how I feel. I was not diagnosed with ADHD until just within the past 9 years and I am almost 50. This

Going about getting a therapist
Just for some background, im an 18 yr old who just came back early from my first semester of college as i learned i have social anxiety (social anxiety + first time in a new place knowing nobody + covid is just a recipe for declining mental health). for these reasons i am now looking for a therapist

New Here
I'm new and joined because I haven't been able to find a support group and I'm really struggling w/ being a single mom of a son w/ ADHD in this pandemic. He was just diagnosed in May (albeit through telehealth which was much less than ideal.) He is not on meds and shows lots of emotional regulation difficulties

I write to say that this is a wonderful site for those who need support but it is equally to important to be mindful of the needs of others . I realise I have mental health issues and I am in the process of seeking help from a course of Psychotherapy Counselling I am learning that each and every one

Gynae suggested Lap, worried it isnt endo, and will waste their time. Would really appreciate advice.
Hey All, I'm so sorry this is long... On Friday I had my first appointment with the Gynaecologist. To give a quick background into my symptoms this is how it has been... Years of pelvic problems, investigated for bowel issues with sigmoidoscopy and CT colonography as I had a bout of rectal bleeding

In focus: hereditary ovarian cancer - genetic testing
Hello, everyone This month in our ‘Health in Focus’ posts, we’re looking at hereditary risks for ovarian cancer and genetic testing. We’re often asked about these topics in our support service and hope that these posts will be a helpful starting point if you want to explore them further. In this post

Resetting the Bar of Castration Resistance - Understanding Androgen Dynamics in Therapy Resistance and Treatment Choice in PCa

OCD ?- need advice/support
*very long post sorry! Hi everyone I'm 21 and a student in the UK. For a long long time I've struggled with mental health but due mostly to family opinions I've never been to a therapist. When I was younger and kept saying I should get help my mum said I should be careful in case it affected my future

Heartbroken 💔
I ended a 20 year relationship almost a year ago. This past year there was constant arguing. I think this virus made things Worse. He been controlling coming over criticizing how things are in my house, worrying too much about my health it’s been affecting my health, I’m diabetic. He wouldn’t go to

Free emergency counseling helplines US
Hi all! Someone recently posted a few links and numbers as a reply to someone with places to call if you are in a crisis. I can’t find that post now. Asking for a friend. ;). Seriously, I just want to have them handy. What places have you called in the US that are free?

Chronic pain and family
Family can be a life jacket in the stormy sea of life..!!.. Talking about our problems is at greatest addiction. Break the habit. Talk about your joys…. famous quote by Rita schiano I, personally agreed to this to some extent, but in case of chronic illness ( I read this in context to chronic pain patients
