Graves’ depression and anxiety
I suffer from Graves’ disease hyperthyroidism and I recently learned that a major symptom of the disease is anxiety and depression. I am currently in a flare up and this is my first experience dealing with a lot of intense symptoms. More than the physical symptoms the mental health symptoms is the hardest

Therapy Struggles plz help!!!
Hi All! I hope everyone is having the best day they can today. I'm writing here looking for some advice on a few things. Right now I use counseling at my University, but I'm about to run out of appointments I am allowed to have, so I'm looking outside. My counselor knows all about me, my struggles, trauma

Methotrexate
I thought I posted something yesterday but it didn’t appear this morning so here goes again - sorry if duplicated! Please can anyone share their experiences of Methotrexate? I have just been prescribed Methotrexate, but before issuing it, Rheumy wants new blood test and X-ray. Long counselling letter

Genetic Testing
My dad has possible MSA-C. It has been suggested by the Neurologist that he gets genetically tested to see if this is in his genes or it’s just ‘bad luck’. My understanding is that MSA is not hereditary however research is ongoing and the Neurologist I think, wants to rule this out. As his daughter

Waiting for treatment - things to do in the meantime?
Hello, I have been on the forum for a couple of months reading the really helpful posts but never posted before. Just looking for some advice about tests and trying while we wait for treatment. We have been trying for 18 months and GP referred us to fertility clinic after 12 months and some tests.

Now in my 50s, with undiagnosed asd I believe in my family of origin
Hi . I’ve joined as I believe there is undiagnosed asd in my mother (now in her 80s) and brother (a year younger than me). I had an assessment done on myself and came out as having some autistic traits but not qualifying for a diagnosis of asd. Both my brother and I are single and have got through life

Anxiety beyond what I know how to cope with
I'm sorry if this isn't the right group to post but I feel comfortable here. My ptsd is very evident right now and I keep thinking I see someone that hurt me in the past every day now.... in a car on the road, a seat next to me at a dinner, etc. And I go into a silent rage. I was working on my ptsd

What should I do?
I’ve been off work for some time now and the lady in the office sent me some info for counselling. I have been referred to the crisis team by my GP.. should I let the lady in the office know this?

It's been awhile since my last post...
Hello all, hope everyone on the forum is finding answers and support. It has been a long while since I posted, felt a check in might be nice. A looming question and personal observation related to APS diagnosis or living with APS...diet, hydration, exercise & stress management have truly been a contingent

Are there any alternatives to Prednisolone?
Good morning all I am just wondering if anyone knows of any alternatives to pred I can discuss with my GP? I've never liked them as I struggle to sleep when taking them during a chest infection. However, my mental health has suffered (like most peoples) during the pandemic and I'm finding my negative

Counselling & Therapy
Hello there, I wondered if anyone knew any good available counselling services that can help in particular for RA or other conditions, maybe through your hospital? I am struggling at the moment with coming to terms with my diagnosis but also other things and general life. I am only 23 and being diagnosed
