35 years of smoking
I have tried numerous times and have yet to succeed permanently. I have smoked for 35 years give or take. I am taking champix to help me. I have taken it before and it did help, I quit for 8 months....and then I started again. 3 years ago I was diagnosed with RA so that should make me want to quit ..

From Behind The Scenes…….!
Popping onto the forum every once and again I am amazed to see so many new quitters joining and want to wish them a successful journey but still see the frightening few relapses…. It is with severe severity I want to recommend that when you stop smoking start reading and learn as much as you can about

Hi people, I am 46 and on about my 3rd quit attempt after thinking I had succeeded last year with hypno I lit up after 3 months. Lesson learnt and will have not one puff this time around. I have BRCA1 mutation and plastic surgeon will not go ahead with preventative surgery unless I am a non smoker. I

One Year Anniversary :)
...And I never actually thought I would ever be here today! To say that I am proud is an understatement ... it's actually weird because it doesn't feel like a year at all, it feels like a couple of weeks ago. Overall it's all positives: - More money; no more cough; no more chest infections; no more throat

2 Days in on Champix
Hi everyone. I am new to the group but have found the posts most helpful. I have been a 20 plus smoker for over 20 years. Decided to kick the habit a couple of times but always relapsed. My doctor told me about champix and I am now on day 2. One tablet at night for 3 days and then one in the morning

Smoking is not an option... My mantra!
So I just I'm just sharing a bit abt my quit today.... At about 9.5 months the nasty thoughts started hunting me and o couldn't get rid of them no matter how much I tried. Because smoking is not an option, I decided to go back on the champix, it might just be stupid and unnecessary, but I'm not taking

Day 5 of champix
Champix is going better than I thought smoking less and even when I do have a cig I'm not finishing it, the only down side is I am so tired with tossing and turning all night :( but I'm staying strong, I thought the feeling sick would put me off but I just have something to eat and I'm fine

The big day has arrived!!
Hi guys, It's my day 1 today, I had a good clear out yesterday and gave all my pouches of tobacco away and have for the 1st time thrown away all my rolling tins as I can't hand roll a ciggie! All the ashtrays have gone and lighters! New air freshener in conservatory where I used to smoke and in my car

Quitting smoking.
Hi I'm not sure I belong here but could do with some support. I had symptoms of copd & was offered a spirometry test which, thank god, my doctor said was normal. Still suffering from breathless episodes but I'm not sure if that's anxiety as I suffer with that too. I'm also a massive hypochondriac &
