...And I never actually thought I would ever be here today! To say that I am proud is an understatement ... it's actually weird because it doesn't feel like a year at all, it feels like a couple of weeks ago.
Overall it's all positives:
- More money; no more cough; no more chest infections; no more throat infections; no more flu; no more sickness; my acne is completely gone (I wish I knew it was caused by the cigarettes );
I am calmer and I learned to deal with emotions without smoking - I no longer punch the fridge -> I now walk around the block LOL -> big improvement LOL
I was going to do the Champix for 3 months but I decided to stop last weekend and I see how it goes...
I got a promotion at work, MORE work ...not more money! ... slavery at it's best!
I am actually being able to focus much better at work now that I am not taking loads of breaks for a quick fag.
So, that's me for today, I hope everyone is doing well, I just wanted to share my status, I am very happy today and I hope to be able to read similar posts for everyone of the members on this forum because believe me...if I can do it....anyone can

Congratulations wow! Love the statement about a year feeling like a few weeks. I remember the first few weeks felt like years lol!!!! 😳 Time does heal!!
Aw congratulations mmaya! Delighted for you as fought and worked so hard to get to this day. Hope you are rewarding yourself and ready for the our party on Saturday in the penthouse!
I can still clearly remember our early days together and you were the first one to reply to me on Day 8 when I was pulling my hair out (literally!!) with frustration and sadness.
I thank you so much for that response! Here's to next 12 months
ms Rowens that's not one bit true you were always the cool one!
Remember our daily dairy?! I'm calling my buddy Pedz Pete will you post in today pls? I know you're around.... Congratulations to you buddy.... miss you loads!
That's bloody marvelous Maya! I'm proud to have shared the ups and downs with you over the year. When I signed up to the old forum you and rowens seemed to have been at it for so much longer than me. I can't believe we all started our quits at more or less the same time and all went through the mixer together. I would say "happy days" but they weren't!
I would have been joining you on the 30th had I not smoked continuously for 15 days last Christmas!
I am so lucky that I had such a nice bunch of people around me at that time! I remember one particular weekend that I nearly lost the plot...Nozmo was still on his very first days days in the forum but he sent me a few Pm and kept busy...with a few laughs in between the truth is I didn't smoke and I'm eternally grateful for your support buddy! Thank You!
