Progress and help request
I have serious medical problems and can only exercise whilst using a
CPAP
breathing machine, or my airways will collapse. Can anyone give any advice on exercise ? I can't stand for long and use crutches. I have a long way to go yet.

Can a TBM patient suddenly become extremely drowsy to the point of requiring mechanical ventilation?
His blood CO2 level was increasing so he was put on
CPAP
for a while but later was put on mechanical ventilator. Doctors wanted to do an MRI but couldn't do it since he had a permanent pacemaker implanted. So a CT Contract was done which showed that his ventricles are very dilated.

Feeling upset and confused
I shall spend tonight wired up to machines to confirm then it's off to Oxford for a
CPap
machine. This has left me in a bit of a quandary because this doc says the symptoms that have been put down to APS could be caused by sleep apnoea.

So no medication until I start using a
CPAP
. So I had a follow-up sleep study to figure out what sort of
CPAP
and setting I need. Got that done, got the prescription in, just needed to wait for it to come in, use it for a few weeks, then get on the medication and everything'll be great, right?

So I have a follow-up visit to get a
cpap
and after I'm on that for a month with no problem, the doctor will give me oxycontin for my RLS.

Update
If I do, she wants to put me on a
cpap
and then give me the medicine. I'm thinking, if I'm going to be on a
cpap
, why not just go back to taking tramadol then? But I'll follow the doctor's advice and give the oxycontin a try...

Strange night !
Well yesterday I went to the hospital to be fitted with a
CPAP
machine. Last night was my first night of using it, can't say I had a good nights sleep, but hey I will try again tonight, I know it will take a lot of getting used to but if it makes me less tired during the day then it is worth it.

Dont always assume its your thyroid
After completing a sleep study i have now been told i need a
CPAP
machine for sleep apneoa. I am dreading using one of these, however i appreciate that it could be a lifesaver, and remain grateful that somebody took me seriously.

CPap machine
I was given a
CPap
machine by the Brompton hospital and have never looked back really. Apparently my oxygen levels drop so low during the night that I keep waking up in a panic although sometimes I wasn't really even aware of it. Iam.

Some additions to the diagnosis. Anyone else?
Thank heavens I so didn't want to start anymore drugs or shell out for a
cpap
machine at this stage.

Try CPAP therapy
I was diagnosed with moderate sleep apnea, issued a
CPAP
machine and chose the Wisp mask, which is not a full facial mask. Right out of the shute I noticed something different.

i was quite shocked
initially as it was my assessment anyway it turns out that i would have had to pay £55 a week towards my care which is a few quid above my care component of my DLA, now my care component goes towards but comes no where near to being spent on weekly fuel about £57week electric for lift chair toilet

Still waking every 2 -3 hours despite CPAP?
My question for you all is does anybody else have this sort of problem even using
CPAP
where they always end up only ever sleeping in 2 - 3 hour chunks rather than ever having a full decent nights sleep?

It's My 55th Birthday...Do You Believe it?
The
CPAP
machine HAS helped. The first morning after I used it, even colors were more vivid. It was like looking at my surroundings and life in a whole new manner. I thought, 'wow, a week of this and I'll feel like a whole new person'. However, it was short-lived.
