Continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP)

Anyone else have such problems with a Cpap?

Newly diagnosed Parkinsons, tremor since 2018. neurologist says that sleep apnea machine is very important after my sleep study does anyone have examples of disease progression being slowed or any symptoms being relieved by moving to a sleep apnea machine?

I am wondering if anyone has had experience with Travel Cpap machines with battery, looking in UK recommendations would be amazing 😊

Please tell me your experience using the cpap .

Recently I also found that using a CPAP helps as well.

The CPAP is uncomfortable but I do think it would help my heart but I cannot sleep with it . I am still waiting to see a cardiologist and have no idea what is happening there either and cannot find out anything

I also suffer from sleep apnoea, so I was wondering if it was ok to use my CPAP machine during the test, after reading the restrictions on electronics.

There is a lawsuit against Phillip cpap manufacturers because some of the models of machines cause lung damage from the foam. If you used a cpap, and have any lung issues, the machine might have destroyed your lungs. Look it up.

Last night was the best 10 hour sleep I have had since using my cpap machine but still very tired , I felt more comfortable using it specially the full mask not to tight just right hopefully I can continue getting the sleep I need.

She was breathing on the CPAP setting, pressure 8, oxygen at 35% down from yesterday which was 40%. She was able to tolerate that for about 6 hours but then she looked pretty exhausted and they switched the CPAP mode off.

I've just call the hospital to find out my date for me to collect my cpap machine its going tobe a week today ,fingers crossed for some good sleep.

I recently started a trial for a CPAP, and I am three weeks in. So far it is helping me sleep, but I am having trouble tolerating the chest pain it gives me. Is this normal? I talk to t he e respiratory consultant next week, but just curious.

So looking forward to collecting my cpap machine tomorrow, and definitely looking forward to a good sleep, its been years since I last slept like a baby lol .I will keep you all updated watch this space.

I know its not strictly thyroid but this story caught my eye, an alternative to uncomfortable CPAP machines for those suffering with sleep apnoea, which has been mentioned a few times on the forum.

It's been a bad day my breathing and dizziness was that bad today I needed to go to A&E ,after a number of tests its been decided that my sleep apnea is making my symptoms worse ,once I get my cpap machine on Friday I should start to feel better. Fingers crossed 🤞
