Continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP)

There is a lawsuit against Phillip cpap manufacturers because some of the models of machines cause lung damage from the foam. If you used a cpap, and have any lung issues, the machine might have destroyed your lungs. Look it up.

Please tell me your experience using the cpap .

Recently I also found that using a CPAP helps as well.

hi I have bronchiestasis and severe sleep apnea and I'm just wondering if anyone else suffers from both and have they felt any benefit with a cpap machine during the night I've only just started the cpap therapy Thanks

I've just call the hospital to find out my date for me to collect my cpap machine its going tobe a week today ,fingers crossed for some good sleep.

Hi all I have sleep apnoea, which means I have to wear a mask all night (pumping air in, to avoid constant 'wake ups' ), but unsure if this is causing more problems with the glaucoma, as waking up with tearful eyes. Does anyone else have this problem ~ is mask & straps making the situation worse ?

So looking forward to collecting my cpap machine tomorrow, and definitely looking forward to a good sleep, its been years since I last slept like a baby lol .I will keep you all updated watch this space.

I was offered a cpap machine during covid and used it a few times.my partner was horrified.we then split up anyway but in the angst and trauma of the split I just left the machine with him and I am far away from him now luckily BUT I can never get the machine back and contacting him I am advised not

It's been a bad day my breathing and dizziness was that bad today I needed to go to A&E ,after a number of tests its been decided that my sleep apnea is making my symptoms worse ,once I get my cpap machine on Friday I should start to feel better. Fingers crossed 🤞

I think my insomnia has to do with sleep apnea for which I have Cpap. The insomnia sets off my anxiety. I'm trying so hard not to worry about everything but it's hard when you don't sleep.

I have never felt this type of headache so I know it is related to using the CPAP. They were going to have me try a front mask, but those have plugs that go into your nose. I can barely tolerate the over the head mask. The pounding headache are 3-4 x a week.

Since, being diagnosed I have monitored the use of cpap vs nasal breathing. I get more deep sleep with nasal breathing and there are health benefits of breathing in nitric oxide while you sleep. I use surgical tape to cover up the mouth.

hi Any experience of how long the wait is to have a CPAP machine on NHS? I only have mild apnea as only stop breathing 14 times a night but I would welcome anything that may avoid this / improve my sleep. I had overnight sleep test and day nap test.

Everyone, If you are concerned about the cost of running your 02 concentrator or Cpap then you can ask your 02 delivery company to reimburse the electricity costs every month. Send the readings into the company every month to get the regular payment.

Even though I have been using the CPAP machine I still have extreme fatigue and sleepiness for the whole day and evening. I fall asleep at Mass ( Church), during movies and other times. I cannot have caffeine or any stimulants. They make anxiety worse. Does anyone have any advice for me?
