Hi...new here, going through a rough patch
Not sure how I stumbled on this site but I’ve been reading for a little while and feel the warmth and encouragement from others who know what this is like. I’ve suffered from depression and anxiety most of my life (I’m 60) and have been on all kinds of antidepressants including Celexa for the last 20

I’m on a waiting list for NHS
counselling
, but due to a complex MH history I expect that I will be declined. But probably won’t know for several weeks. I don’t really know what to do, just feel like I’m only just keeping my head above water.

Marriage
I wasn't sure where to post this but this seems fitting I guess. I need to get things out but I worry about being judged. Maybe because I judge myself the most. More than anyone could ever judge me. I beat myself up a lot. Here's my (long) story... I have everything (most) everyone wants in life and

I have contacted Iapt for
counselling
but they now want me to reregister after I missed my appointment, meaning it will take another month before I speak to someone. What I’m asking is advice...

Counseling and Therapy
Hello. My name is Keith Wilson. I have had over five years of counseling and at least a year of individual therapy. I have been diagnosed with over fifteen different mental health diagnosis' but the doctors still do not quite know which one really fits my situation. Recently, I received a second opinion

CBD OILS FOR ANXIETY
Hello everyone, I am new to the group, and excited to join. I hope I can help others, just as you all can help me. I originally joined the group because I needed a group to do my school project on. However, I also suffer from untreated anxiety and depression. So, does my 5 year old son. I thought this

Should I stay or should I go?
By the way, he is in
counselling
but seems to have taken the approach of “this is who I am, deal with it”. Anyone else in a similar situation?

A few offers of help with
counselling
, housing etc have made me feel a bit better. Don't really like change or my routine interrupted

What do you do to get yourself back up?
I have been struggling with depression for almost 20 years now. I have my ups and downs, but I am usually able to pull myself up after being down. I have been stuck in a "down" for months now and have tried so many things to bring myself back up, but they are not working. I just feel alone and sad most

How Chronic Illness Patients Can Cope with Seasonal Affective Disorder and Depression During COVID-19
This winter, we’re facing an intersection of several potential mental health risks — all of which may be exacerbated if you’re living with chronic illness. COVID-19 Seasonal Affective Disorder Chronic Illness There’s no doubt that the COVID-19 pandemic has triggered an uptick in mental health issues

I want to share my experience with pregnancy so far to help women who like me are finding it a difficult out experience.
I’m now on a waiting list for
counselling
which I referred myself to and been referred to perinatal mental health by my midwife and have surrounded myself with people who understand the changes going through my body and mind at this difficult time. I made the right choice to leave home.

Self Care and Self Confidence
I started my counseling internship back up again last week. I was only there for 2 days, but I had some pretty heavy clients. With one client I felt like I could have done things a little differently. Then, I wasn’t able to go in on Thursday because I had a minor medical procedure which was kind of traumatizing

Rant
My GP referred me to the Mebtal Health Team for
counselling
in October. I have been struggling with my health and relationship issues and just felt overwhelmed. I got a letter within days asking me to ring for an appointment. I rang on the 8 th October and was only able to leave a message.

The spouse in this marriage repulses me.
I can’t even say “my” spouse; he isn’t “my” anything. Not even remotely attracted to him, never really was. His degrading and bullying way of talking to me most of the time erased any sort of desire to work on the marriage. He would NEVER go to counseling. Now I am not interested anymore. Is this

Suffering with PTSD
I opted for some trauma
counselling
which i often say was one of the wisest decisions I have ever made. The
counselling
was extremely hard but so beneficial. It wasnt until the trauma had subsided that I started to grieve properly.

Loving an alcoholic
He always says that he wants to stop, but everytime he start something like
counselling
ou aa meetings, he gives up after a couple of weeks. The thing is that I dont know how to deal with this. I know that the decision to look for help is 100% his, and there is no much what I can do.

I am due to start

Help getting adhd kid 504/IEP
Nothing like having the school principal calling you with an angry attitude since you called the county board of education. Seriously how long does it take to put an iep or 504 in place? I've been at this since the 4th grade. And most aggressively just before the beginning of the 7th grade school year

Lonely and depessed
Hi All. Just began this site today and I hope I can enjoy all the good ideas from members. I have debilitating anxiety and depression and have had a lot of counseling in the past and currently with a therapist. Also just had my meds changed while inpatient and feel better but still have to check my thoughts
