Excruciating pain & upcoming surgeon visit!
I've done physical therapy, massage therapy, acupuncture,
cortisone
injections (SI joints & epidural blockers - 3 full rounds of all of these shots), medications (I swear over 20 different kinds to get best result). The last epidural injection I got a couple of weeks ago was horrible!

AMN and muscle growth
Muscles need protein to grow and the
cortisone
/prednisone (etc) supplements most of us take break down proteins and lead to muscle wasting. So from what I've been reading if one wanted to (most)successfully work out, the lower the dose the best it would be.

Can 2017 be the year when we ban the use of the phrase 'adrenal fatigue' .......please.
Thyroid Uk provides members with well considered and knowledgable guidance and support. I have depended on it many times and feel very much part of the community here. I feel our integrity and intelligence is in question when the phrase 'adrenal fatigue' continues to be used in relation to thyroid

Does this sound familiar to you? (pain in my hand)
I don’t want to go to my GP or contact my Rheumy AGAIN as I’m right in the middle of an issue at the moment regarding my knee (have a Meniscus tear and waiting for a
cortisone
injection and an Op).

Avulsions fracture with RA
I sustained an avulsions fracture this weekend and am wondering is this might have been exacerbated by the RA, meds, or perhaps a
cortisone
injection I received less than 2 weeks ago. Any thoughts?

Hopefully useful observations from first endo meeting
Hi All - thought those with test results similar to mine, horrible symptoms / feel like you're dying, but experiencing non-interest / treatment from their GP, may find my experience today at the endo useful. - my TSH looks 'normal' but my fT4 and fT3 are right at the bottom of the range: TSH 0.91 (0.27

Confusing Cortisol Tests Results
Cortisol free urine: 165+ ug/24h (normal 36-137). These two tests were done in another day: Cortisol AM (serum): 358 nmol/l (normal 123-626) Cortisol PM (serum): 40.3 nmol/l (normal 46-389) My doctor couldn't conclude either high or low cortisol!

Short Synacthen test
So I'm thrilled an Endo is finally taking me seriously and booked for this test in Feb HOWEVER it's my understanding this is for low cortisol (Addisons usually) and I have 4 high highs through the saliva test. Have I got my hopes up for nothing? Will it be a waste of time? Thanks

T3 dose timing
So, it's me again, sitting here, trying to fight off all the nasty hypo symptoms while on synthetic T4/T3 combo... and wondering which method to use: the CT3M or taking a single T3 dose at bedtime. Help Feeling Overwhelmed and GP thinks I'm fine
So I'm far from fine with periods of brain fog which thanks to this site I've looked into and do now unfortuantly feel quite daunted but it is what it is. Here are my blood results below, any feedback would be useful because I feel clueless: November 2016: - Serum TSH 1.57 {norm range 0.3 - 3.94} -

1 month on Armour
Still got a bit of tiredness in me, but had a test yesturday to see if my
cortisone
(or something like that) was working properly. Not feeling as moody, I feel better in myself and yes my weight is going down. All in all I feel good. Having hospital blood test in November, so will up date again.
