Cortisol blood test HIGH
I got my blood cortisol levels checked this week & the results came back today. Cortisol = 907.000 nmol/L Range (113 - 456) What does that mean & should I get further testing done? It seems very high.

Bursitis and Groin Pain
I went for an ultrasound guided
cortisone
injection and an appointment was made to see my hip surgeon just to check that was all ok. The injection didn’t work. The hip surgeon said up the pred it will sort out the bursitis. The hip is sound. He asked who managed my PMR and I said me.

Feeling a bit apprehensive
Tuesday I’ve got
cortisone
injections in facet joints in my lower back, which I had done 12 years ago successfully. (Can’t wait as I’m in so much pain can hardly walk at times) Waiting on an appointment to get a smear under general anaesthetic as my cervix has closed!

Severe Leg Cramps after Cortisone Shots
I'm having severe leg shin & muscle cramps since
Cortisone
injections in my lower back & neck. Some lasted up to 30 minutes. I have started taking magnesium supplements to alleviate the pain but it upsets my stomach. I'm not getting anymore

Having to go off NDT after several years and back on levo only - how to explain it?
OK, so I went off NDT and back on T4 only a few weeks ago, after suffering bothersome symptoms for several months, such as profuse sweating (waking up every morning in a bed drenched in sweat), racing heart, high blood pressure (treated with perindopril 10 mg daily, GP wants to switch me to beta blockers

Therapies Targeted to Androgen Receptor SignalingAxis in Prostate Cancer: Progress, Challenges, and Hope - published December 2019
AR L701H and AR L701H/T877A are somewhat less sensitive to androgens but are highly responsive to the glucocorticoids cortisol and
cortisone
Anyway, digging deeper I came across this article which I thought may hold some interesting, and hopefully valuable, information.

Cortisone and Beta Blockers
Hi there, For all those deep knowledge RLS experts: I just discovered that we sufferers cannot use any type of steroid or Beta Blocker because they're triggers for RLS. That sure leaves me in terrible trouble. I am going to need an injection for my sciatica. Beta Blockers are also used for many things

Back After 5 Years..
I had a
cortisone
injection in my right shoulder a month ago and a lot of the pain vanished. Now both shoulders and upper arms and jaw are massively painful and it wakes me up in the night.

Low glucose, due to low cortisol?
I am low in Pred tapering between 1.25/0.625. My bloods are fine, taking them once a month, but my GP is concerned with the low level of glucose in my blood. Could it be due to low adrenal function? Anybody who knows anything about this? Often you tend to have high glucose due to long Pred treatment

If

Cortisone side effects. Help!
A week ago I had
cortisone
injections to both ring finger PIP joints. Within 24 hours I experienced severe facial flushing and feeling generally unwell, this continued throughout the following day, with hot flushes washing over me. Two nights later I started to feel very anxious.

I the past 7 days I have learned a few things
I really need a
cortisone
shot, problem is that most doctors won't do a
cortisone
shot in that hip because of risk of infection, so he put me on a steroid hoping it will reduce the swelling.
