Clopidegrol or Ticagrelor
I have asked my GP to review my medication since my HA and stent op in Sept 2022. I am on the usual Asprin Ramipril Ticagrelor Bisoprolol Atorvastatin. I have been getting burning arm pains since then. He only suggested changing Ticagrelor to Clopidegrol. I am really in confused state as to whether to

Afib and CAD double trouble and their vicious cycle
CAD (coronary artery disease) is a subset of a process disease called atherosclerosis, plaques of mainly fat build up inside arteries leading to intraluminal stenosis.. I post this one to draw attention to all of us, afibers, not trying to scare any of us. The purpose of this post is to do the right

unstable angina
Hi I have been in and out of hospital since December with unstable angina. I am currently waiting for my 3rd angiogram so they can try drilling the blockage and fit a stent. 100 percent blocked right coronary artery double vessel disease. I am on so many tablets that I feel, like a zombie. Lisinopril

Relief
Colonoscopy done and dusted, nothing sinister, just a bit of diverticulitis. Just waiting for a March to come now and find if I had a stent as part of ORBITA trial. Hopefully can get myself on list to get my knee done now.

Ureteral stricture surgery/Ureteral retransplantation, replacement of ureter w small intestines etc and specialists who do this
I have a third kidney transplant and a ureteral stricture. We have tried everything to fix the stricture but nothing has worked. So my transplant team decided that surgery was the option ,surgical retransplantation of the ureter using a piece of my small intestines where the stricture was ,in its place

Waiting time for angioplasty and stent on NHS
Hi all, can anyone advise what the rough waiting time for angioplasty and a stent is on the NHS at the moment please? I know waiting times vary widely due to location, severity etc I was just hoping to get a rough ballpark figure. Thanks!

I don’t understand!
On Friday jim was in the hospital for his 3 month internal stent replacement. Blood work all within normal range. It seems like in the last few months he was using the catheter less and less and doing so much better. No urinary tract infections any more., but a few days before the surgery he had terrible

hi all, I,m feeling a bit confused.
I had HA and 1 stent (LAD) in Oct 2020. At the time my ef was 37% . I was told this was the only blockage but left with some damage to my heart. In march last year I had a heart scan and recieved a letter in May stating my heart was nearly back to normal, great news. Then in December I started to get

A lot is all in the mind
I’ve had a stent and a bout of persistent AF in the last few months, had Cardioversion to sort the At. The Cardiologist asked me to reduce Bisoprolol,so last night was the first time I didn’t take it (just taking 3.7mg in the mornings now)I suppose I had some anxiety in the back of my mind going to bed

painkiller recommendations?
hi all, I hope everyone is okay. I’ve been struggling with chronic daily pain, I have severe endo which has caused one of my kidneys to fail and so I have a stent in my left kidney to help it drain. This contributes to my pain but it is mainly a deep ache in my hip, pelvis and abdomen which I’m sure

micro vascular angina good news!
Hi All, I hope everyone’s doing well! I was walking on the beach with my wife and suffered a crushing chest pain (worse than the pain I had had with my previous two MI’s) shortness of breath and sweating. I used my GTN spray twice but it had no effect. I was blue lighted to hospital. All test proved

Advice
My daughter had a heart attack aged 32 she had to have a stent in. She is 40 now.. she hasn't felt well since November and last week she saw a doctor who sent her for a x-ray which shows her heart is enlarged, she is now waiting to see a cardiologist I Just wondered how long should she wait for a appointment

Overdue update on CAD issues
Hi All. About this time last year I had angina symptoms returning after having had a double bypass in Feb 2020. A cardiac ct scan showed one of my graphs had failed and I said I would update when I knew more.Sadly, it's taken a long while to get a diagnosis but found out today I need a stent. Not great
