Hi all, can anyone advise what the rough waiting time for angioplasty and a stent is on the NHS at the moment please?
I know waiting times vary widely due to location, severity etc I was just hoping to get a rough ballpark figure.
Thanks!

As you say it will depend entirely on where you are and the pressure on the NHS angiography provision within your local health care trust, and importantly whether you are classified as urgent or routine. I suggest you talk to 'appointments' and find out directly from them how ling you are likely to have to wait. But if its any help I was put on the list for an angiogram last April and was told by the cardiologist it would be about 8 weeks and it turned out to be 6 months before I was 'done'. And the angio suite where I attended seemed like a conveyor belt of comings and goings whilst I was there.
Thanks LowerField. I just wanted to get a rough idea, your idea to chase up appointments is a good one. I had an angiogram a few years ago and your analogy of a conveyor belt is spot on!
