Weight reduction with angina
Im a 65 year old female and had a RCA stent fitted in 2013. I can walk on the flat over a fair distance but uphill is another story mostly resulting in an angina attack. I rarely use my spray as it gives me an headache and I can manage with just resting. I admit I don’t walk everyday? I’m 2 weeks into

Hi everyone. I’m new here and wish to share my story and hopefully someone can give me some advice. My dad is 80 and is currently in the process of being tested for dementia. He’s had the memory test and last week had an MRI on his head and then i believe an occupational therapist is coming to visit

Advice please
I had a heart attack two weeks ago and had a stent fitted. I have come home and over the last couple of days have had to use my spray a lot and also breathless. Should I be worried?

Hello, I'm new here...
Hi there, I'm a 59 year old who has had a little chest replumbing (2x CABG and a titanium aortic valve). In November I had my annual cardiac review and my consultant was less than impressed by my 100 kg weight even though I walk about 6 km a day. We agreed that I should lose some weight and have a crack

Complete Coronavirus Confusion!!!
Hi everybody I have a stent and I have a small bronchiastisis with Asthma plus inflammatory arthritis. I am a 54 year old teacher and was looking forward to being told that school would be shutting and therefore being more confident of avoiding coronavirus. I believe that I have a poor immune system

First time post
Hi Everyone, I have had Angina for fourteen years and until last June I hardly ever used my spray as I had a slow release pill, Elantan 25. Then in June started having a dead arm shoulder at night sometimes. Saw three different GP's and was ignored until 2nd January after particularly bad night and

Monomil
Evening everyone First time today I had to use my GTN spray, a trip to GP was needed and he has increased my monomil xl to 2 tablets a day - has anyone else found this to help their angina symptoms? I think I was in denial that I have angina and that after my stent I would be back to normal- how silly

Hitting a brick wall.
Hi all, I am nearly 6 weeks post MI and stent fitting. Up to now I have been relatively ok, increased my activity by walking around an hour every day and now introducing cycling for 40 mins as and when the weather will allow. Today however I woke feeling tired, no energy and very emotional. Apart from

Not such a good end to the day fiancé CABG yesterday
Fiancé was doing so well after his CABG yesterday. He ate his breakfast by himself, was assisted out of bed and sat in chair and was looking pretty good. Then this afternoon his heart went into atrial fibrillation with no warning and they’ve really struggled to correct it. Now it’s swinging between

Coronary Heart Spasms/Micro Vascular Angina
Coronary Heart Spasm/ Micro-Vascular Angina Is anybody else suffering from this debilitating condition? I have it on a daily basis and since recording the episodes from 11th February, I have had over 50 spasms. I'm due to have a 6th stent, but nobody's hurrying to do it. I feel unsupported and frightened

How long is the average recovery from a non-intrusive neurosurgery operation?
Hi I'm new here and would welcome any advise or tips.I am not sure what to expect or what is considered 'normal' expectations of recovery, so am looking for tips, advice, similar experiences out there. I'm not even sure if I can be considered as having brain injury owing to my individual situation.

Twinges
Hope all are well. Does anyone get Intermittent like twinges on the left side of their chest? I had them yesterday, although I've been celebrating my 50th this week so been drinking and eating more than usual. I also have an hiatus hernia so not sure if that as something to do with it. Also had a bit

T-11 fracture! No wonder it hurts!
Yesterday, my husband drove me three hours roundtrip to see new rheumatologist (useless) and my pain specialist of several years (always helpful). Later ordered x-rays and gave me prescribed for opiates that have no NSAIDs or Tylenol. Also gave me shot of Toradol. This is an injectable NSAID that

Stent needed?
Hi. I've just had a call from my Cardiologist. She asked how I was and said that my ct scan showed some narrowing of arteries but wasn't the worst she'd ever seen. However she wants to investigate further and wants me to have an Angiography. She also said I've to start statins and to speak to gp in
