My daughter had a heart attack aged 32 she had to have a stent in. She is 40 now.. she hasn't felt well since November and last week she saw a doctor who sent her for a x-ray which shows her heart is enlarged, she is now waiting to see a cardiologist I Just wondered how long should she wait for a appointment. Thank you

Your daughter should put herself on the cardio. cancellation list so when someone drops out they can call her to take up that place. Saves the nhs money and you get seen more quickly.
hello I don’t know much about your daughter’s condition but on a practical note, if you hear nothing in say two weeks find the name and number of the cardiologist’s secretary (hospital operator should be able to help) and make a gentle enquiry as to when might an appointment be received. At worst they can let you know how long it usually takes. I once did this and she booked me an appointment there and then. Wish you both luck that your daughter is seen soon.
just need to add I didn’t get an appointment any faster / sooner, it just gave me peace of mind that it was booked and I knew how long I was to wait, this helps a bit with the waiting / worrying that is natural in these situations.
Thank you I will do this . It is a worry and more so because she is a single mum and has no energy and sleeping all the time.
Bearing in mind that your daughter has to do the phoning etc as the staff can’t discuss anything with you due to confidentiality
