CABG Lungs?
I am 8 weeks out from triple CABG and my lungs still are not giving me full breaths. When I breathe I can't take a full breath without some discomfort and when I walk up hills I have a hard time taking full breaths because it causes coughing. Can anyone normalize this for me? I understand that being

Hi, I've posted on here before, my husband had an NSTEMI in June last year and a stent fitted. Since then his recovery hasn't improved and we still haven't got a diagnosis. He is unfit to return to work and he has these episodes which are increasing in number each week. He feels an uncomfortable pain

Hi all, I’m a 45yr old female who found out I had a 90% blockage in my LAD artery during a routine angiogram on 5th November 2021. Had a stent fitted. Has anyone had to give up work because of their heart issues?
Hi all, I have chronic angina and had a stent fitted 6 months ago. I have a very stressful job that gives me palpitations and chest pains. I'm thinking of stopping working but not sure about benefits ( I'm 52 and never been out of work) I know PIP is nigh on impossible to claim but I really can't carry

Reopening blocked artery
5 years after a quad CABG one of my vein grafts is failing and has not reacted well to stenting. The plan is now to reopen one of my blocked arteries in a procedure called Chronic Total Occlusion Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (cto pci). I just wondered whether anyone has had experience of this procedure

How often are meds reviewed by GP or Cardiologist.
I have been on the same medication since Feb 2020, never the doses or my case reviewed with the exception of an appointment with a Cardiologist in July 2020. Dealing with my GP surgery and getting any response from them is hard work, however and before contacting them I wanted to check with others how

Hello
My twin brother had a heart attack at the weekend, he had 2 stent procedures and is now home. It has scared him and everyone in the family. From being 'fit', to feeling fragile and stunned, little overwhelmed by recovery ahead, looking to see if this community can provide some support, advice etc..

Finally had a face to face with my cardiologist
Yesterday after a long frustrating wait, I finally got a face to face meeting with my cardiologist I also took my wife to try and get through to the cardiologist how bad my issues are and how much it is affecting my day to day life. Got to say it was hard work due to her being so dismissive of things

Is there some handy post that details the abbreviations that are used here ( CABG / PVST/LAD/STEMI/HCM). I have no idea if posts are relevant to my condition !-

NI Chest Heart and Stroke 5k
So,signed up yesterday for a 5k walk at Stormont at end of February . After my heart attack in April last year it amazed me how dr's can go through your wrist and insert a little metal stent into an artery to keep you alive!! Also my son has a bicuspid aortic valve which will probably need replaced
