CABG update
Thanks for all the messages of support and the like. I’m really not a social media type person as I grew up in an age with humans interacting face to face and I’m hardwired for such communication but this sight is incredibly inspiring and the posts are very supportive - there’s nothing like interacting

How long until stent improves angina symptoms?
I got a stent on a LAD blockage just over 2 weeks ago and had high hopes that my angina symptoms would disappear. However this has not been the case so far. I feel pretty much the same as before, getting a burning chest sensation when walking and felling breathless occasionally at rest. Is it possible

At the Royal Brompton having been prepped and shaved for the op but the earlier patient overrun so I’ve been postponed until Friday. Very frustrating but that’s life I guess. So back home and then back here on Thursday pm. At least I had a free lunch 😀

Painful collar bone
Hello everyone and I hope you are all feeling OK.Question: I had a heart attack last month and had a stent fitted. Towards the end of last week I developed mild pain in my right collar bone. It is still there. I've tried researching it - to no avail. Has anyone else experienced this?

Teeth Problems (who would have thought!)
Hi, I had a heart attack a year ago and had a stent fitted and then another fitted 6 months later and am really getting on well. However I have noticed that since starting taking the drugs my teeth have stained a good few shades darker and have broken 2 teeth in half just eating food. Has anyone else

I’m perplexed about Pluvicto
After one dose of Pluvicto, Joe’s PSA rose, and Mets are unchanged. His second dose is August 4. I asked his onc what good looks like: how will we know if P is working? When? No good answer……he’ll rescan after 3rd dose….. His QOL is lousy, from what I see, anyway. Spends days moving between

Gastric source of angina symptoms
In my quest to get to the bottom of my angina type symptoms I have recently had a stent implanted in my LAD but the symptoms persist. - Mild burning sensation in chest after a few minutes of walking outdoors. (if I walk indoors I have no such problem - it seems to be temperature related?) If I pause

Vitamins
Hi all, I used to take a multivitamin tablet daily, until my heart stent age 44 two years ago. My Cardiologist asked me to stop taking them as there were certain vitamins that became not good to take e.g. ones on there linked to clotting. I want to start taking vitamins again. My diet is as good

Stent not relieving angina symptoms - so far
Last year I began to get mild burning in my chest and back when walking. So angina was suspected. I was put onto aspirin, statin, bisoprolol and ranolazine and they seemed to greatly reduce the problem. I had a heart scan which detected a significant blockage in my LAD. So
last week
I got a stent

Running can literally save your life !
A rather dramatic title, but In my case it was probably true ! Ok, so I now feel it is time to bring this out into the open. The Admin team know about this . Thank you to Oldfloss and MissUnderstanding for picking up the slack ! Only a handful of others have known about this And to the ones who knew

Pmr and heart attack
Hi thereI'm writing for my husband. He had pmr for about 18 months diagnosed after a bout of covid. He did really well with the steroids, they worked to manage the symptoms and he took his last dose in February. Previously he was a fit, healthy and strong person. Pmr definitely took some of his muscle

had to call a ambulance
hi everyone, I felt very unwell on Saturday with new chest pain in my left hand side of my chest and found it difficult to breathe. I usually get it in the middle of my chest. My partner called an ambulance and I went into hospital. After ECG and blood tests they didn’t think it was a heart attack.

Gallbladder
Has anyone here had their gallbladder removed after also having had a cabg? How did you get on working out what to eat and what not to eat? I wasn't given a diet sheet, only advised to stick to a low fat diet with plenty fruit and veg. I'm finding I'm eating the sane things all the time! Fish and chicken
