Has anyone here had their gallbladder removed after also having had a cabg? How did you get on working out what to eat and what not to eat?

I wasn't given a diet sheet, only advised to stick to a low fat diet with plenty fruit and veg.

I'm finding I'm eating the sane things all the time! Fish and chicken!! Has anyone got any tips on recipes I could try or different t foids I could eat.

Thank you

I had my gallbladder removed over 2 years ago. The doctor did not tell me to follow any diet so I just carried on as normal.I've not had any adverse effects at all. My daughter did suggest that I take Bile Salts supplements but there are just too many types that I was overwhelmed and as a result I have not bought any.

I eat mostly chicken and fish with spaghetti bol once a week. I cut most of the fat off bacon on a Saturday and Sunday breakfast with one egg.I do take omega 3 and 6 every day though. My cholesterol is borderline.
