Short notice Gynae appt! Help!
I was called yesterday to offer a gynae appt on Monday, so 3 days after the call! What do I say to make them actually do a lap? How do I respond to “We’d just treat with contraceptive anyway…” Top tips people! I really want them to do a lap so I’ll know either way, I don’t want an assumed diagnosis

Contraceptive whilst on Decapeptyl - do I really need one?
Has anyone else been in this situation and what were you advised about contraception? I’ve been on Decapeptyl injections for 8 years and these have successfully managed by endometriosis. I have no pain or other symptoms whatsoever now. I get bone scans every 3 years to check my bone density and I’ve

Decapeptyl injections for fibroids
Hi I am new to this- I have a large uterine fibroid that has caused me hell for the past three years, pain and extreme heavy bleeding, anemia etc tried lots of birth control but none help. Been given decapeptyl injections last week 11th jan to shrink them for a less invasive surgery - I was on norithsterone

Stupid question but...
Why don't all endo sufferers who aren't TTC on the pill to stop the monthly bleeding? Surely bleeding each month just creates more endo, so the first thing to do would be stop the bleeding? My Dr is recommending the coil which "might" stop my periods, it also "might" make me bleed really heavily for

Neuropathic symptoms? In excruciating pain and not being taken seriously
Hello everyone, A bit of background: I have been on a very long waiting list with the NHS to see gynacology, I finally got seen in November and I was told my symptoms were suspected endometriosis and I was put on the waiting list for a laparoscopy. I'm still waiting and haven't heard anything 11 weeks

Final cycle before icsi
Well folks, that was the last cycle before my planned icsi where I could have fallen pregnant naturally. Negative early test this morning. We really tried and tried the last few months and I've been taking my supplements, had lots of acupuncture and had a decent diet. Why did I convince myself this would

Pill splitter
Can anyone recommend a splitter that will split a 0.25mg ropinirole tablet in two. The pill is pentagon shaped with a bevelled edge so I'm not sure which brand splitter would be best to buy.

The long wait for laparoscopy
Hi all! I had my first outpatient meeting with gynaecology yesterday, where I've been referred for a laparoscopy to try to diagnose and treat what's suspected bladder endo. Unfortunately with covid and the current nhs strain the wait times are likely over a year and no further treatment has been offered

Guidance and Support with PCOS
Hi! I was hoping some of you would be able to help me with PCOS. I'm 20 years old and I recently found out I have PCOS. Is Rectal and Vaginal pain normal for endo?
I have endo and I've recently been put on the pill as a tri-cycle. This is my first period since and I'm now taking the pill again after the break. Recently I've been experiencing what I can only describe as a dull ache and twinge in my rectum and in my vagina. At the least it's uncomfortable and at

Not a true AMH reading?
So had my baseline scan this afternoon ready to start Stims tomorrow. She could see 8 follicles at the time although could be more as one ovary was hiding behind my bladder so she reckons could be low double figures. When I had my fertility checked in October, I had 10 follicles on the scan. They seemed

Worried sick - need reassurance and hand hold, worried for nothing?
Hello ladies, i by no means want to offend anyone with my stupid worries. But I surely need a hug. I’m 23 and my dream is to be a mum in fact me and my partner had started to look into it when Jan 5th I felt cramping akin to diarrhoea / period cramps after jogging. Followed by the tiniest streak of blood

Stories of the diagnosis and journey of endometriosis
Hi, I was detected with Polycystic ovarian disease 7 years ago, then with endometriosis around 4 years ago. Ever since I've been struggling to figure out the new normal for me. The birth controls, painful and never ending periods has impacted me mentally and physically massively. I also went through

Pneumococcal Vaccination.
I had a repeat pneumonia vaccination 2 days ago (here in South Africa, they are done every 5 or two years depending in your age.) This is the first one I have had since being diagnosed with PAF and two days later I had a short bout of AF - HR no higher than 106 at which stage I took 1,25mg Biso. and
